Chelkowski. professor of Persian and Islamic Studies and chairman of the Near Eastern language and literature department at New-Yor- University, will give the presentations under the auspices of the Division of Iranian at the Middle East Studies University's Center. Monday's lecture, scheduled at 3:30 p.m. in Olpin Union 324. will cover the "Persian Career of Alexander the Great." Tuesday at the same time and location, Chelkowski will present "Prom a Persian Story to Commedia Dell 'Arte and to Puccini's Opera." The professor has been director of New York University's Hagop Kevorkian Center for Near Eastern 2. Dr. Peter J. Chelkowski, authority on Near Eastern art and literature will lecture Monday and Tuesday. Studies since 1975. He has three books in written Persian and also is the author of Mirror of the Invisible World, published by the New York Metropolitan Museum of Art.
