Show Page Twelve by JAMES KARR Indoor Chronicle staff "I think this year's track team has more quality than any previous team," said Ute head track coach Pete Carlson. The Utes open the 1978 indoor track season against the Air Force Academy this Saturday. Top individuals on the team are sprinters Adama Fall, Doug Parrell and Mark Robison. Fall is a two-tim-e Olympian from Dakar, track season begins Senegal. He recently ran 47.8 seconds for 440 yards in a time trial. "Adama is an example of a young man who worked hard during Christmas vacation," said Carlston. "We expect great things out of him." Doug Parrell, an NCAA participant, looms large in Ute track plans. In last year's Western Athletic Conference he scored 16 points in the 100- - and dashes and in the relays. Junior college transfer 200-met- er from Spokane, Wash. Mark Robison figures to help the tracksters with marks of 21.3 seconds for the 220 and 47.5 for the 440. Leading men in the field events are Gary Lawrence, Doug Debevetz and Greg Stein. Both Lawrence and Stein are freshmen in the high jump and long jump respectively. Lawrence jumped seven and one-hal- f feet in the high jump. Stein jumped 23 feet nine inches in the long jump.
