The Bears moved closer in the fourth inning on a round tripper by Joel Ramsdell to center field. Hess scored the tying run in the fifth with a single then won it in the bottom of the sixth. Both teams collected six hits on the day. Pitcher Mark Williams went all the way for the Bears. The Riverite squad finished the game in fourth place in the seven-tearegion, two games behind third ' place Box Elder. Here are the final standings: i I a) Bear River continued its whammy over the Weber Warriors recently on the baseball diamond with a 5 - 4 sixth-innin- g victory. The win marked the second time this season the Bears have beaten the Warriors. The win also marked the end of the baseball season for the Bears. They posted a 5 - 7 record and left a number of games strewn along the way. "We just couldn't come up with the big hits when we needed them," said head coach, Dick Green. g Nolan Hess' single in the sixth inning was a notable exception cited by Green. Tied 4 - 4 in the bottom of the sixth after being down 4 2 at one point, Hess singled in Bob Billings who had singled as lead-of- f batter and moved to second when the batter behind him walked. Weber jumped off to a three-ru- n lead in the third inning on two singles and two walks. Bear River narrowed the gap in the second inning, scoring Chris Webb and Ned Petersen on walks and a single by Bob Billings. , Weber added its final run in the third on two singles Dams II Length!
