Airman John I. McCulley, whose parents are Mr. and Mrs. William B. McCulley of 988 S. Main, Garland, has been assigned to Chanute AFB, 111., after completing Air Force basic training. During the six weeks training at Lackland AFB, Tex., the airman studied the Air Force mission, organization and customs and received special instruction in human relations. Friday evening Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Anger, accompanied by Mrs. Linda Westley and two daughters of Brigham City attended a basketball game at Granite High School in Salt Lake City with Granite High vs. Viewmont. Granite High was victorious. During the game the Anger's two Dorene granddaughters, and Diane Simmons, participated. Dorene is with the cheerleaders and Diane is with the drill team. Following the game the Angers and Westleys visited Mr. and Mrs. Darold Simmons and family. Visiting Mrs. Alene Sutherland Sunday were Mr. and Mrs. Kent Sutherland and son, Greg, of Ogden and Mr. mm. received the Meritorious Service Medal at Richards-Gebau- r AFB, Mo. Capt. Capener was cited for outstanding duty performance as chief of the Plans Branch, Communications-El- Programs ectronics Division at Elmendorf AFB, Alaska. The captain now serves at Richards-Gebau- r as a management action officer with Headquarters, Air Force. Pariy Captain Capener, a 1961 graduate of Bear River High By Colleen Garfield Tremonton, Utah, received his B.E.S. and M. E. Degrees in electrical engineering from Brigham Young University, Provo, Utah, where he was commissioned in 1970 through the Air Force Reserve Officer Training Corps program. Lott of Bothwell attended funeral services Thursday for Mrs. Munson's and Mrs. Lott's brother, Orson Godfrey, held in The Wing Mortuary in Lehi. During the service Mrs. Munson gave a tribute to her brother. Elmo Munson served as a pallbearer. Burial was in the Springville Evergreen Cem- etery. A lovely buffet luncheon prepared by the Lehi Sixth Ward Relief Society lor family members was served at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph B. Godfrey and family in Lehi. Others attending the service in the Wing Mortuary were Mr. and Mrs: Asael Godfrey. The two men were brothers.
