The word is that Santa Claus has a cutter team of his own and plans on making the fairgrounds a visit. Races begin at 1 p.m Races were held last Saturday and all those who attended enjoyed good horserac-in- g in spring-lik- e weather. Bear River High head Coach Paul Jeppesen and the varsity basketball team will instruct youngsters in the fundamentals of the game plus team offense and defense. Coaches Myrl D. Perry and Kent Hughes of the Junior High will assist. League play will get underway Jan. 8 with games scheduled every Saturday thru March 12. League action is under the direction of Perry and Hughes. Cost of the program is $8 per boy for clinic and league play. Each team will consist of eight players and all team members will play a minimum of two quarters per game, officials iwted. Competition will be divided into a) V junior and senior division with boys from the iourth thru to sixth grades in the junior and those from the seventh ninth in senior. Each youngster is responsible for furnishing his own gym clothing. During the clinic, fourth graders will be instructed at 9 a.m.; fifth and sixth graders at 10 a.m. and seventh to ninth graders at 11 a.m. Youngsters should present a registration form and their $8 fee to the coaches at the first session. all Program Offered Jan Fronk.
