It isn't that we're running short of natural gas. In fact, Mountain Fuel's gas supply is one of the best in the nation. But it takes pipeline to deliver natural gas, no matter how great the supply, and yesterday's pipelines aren't sufficient to. meet tomorrow's demands. . Mountain Fuel was aware of the problem more than two years ago. In February of 1973, we petitioned the Federal Power Commission for permission to add to our existing system of transmission lines in order to insure continuing reliable natural gas service to all our customers. Had we received the permission in the normally allotted three to six months from the date of application, the much needed Coalville-Bountiftransmis ul Applications are being accepted in the School District Office for the following positions: Corinne Elementary The price is climbing. out construction bids. But the hold up will mean that a job which could have been completed for 3.25 million dollars in 1973, will now cost in excess of 4.45 million dollars, and may not be completed in time for us to supply the cold weather heating needs of all our customers. We're not very happy about that! Because throughout our 44 year history we've worked very hard to maintain a sufficient supply of natural gas to meet even the greatest demands of our customers. But having one of the best natural gas supplies in the nation doesn't mean much if we can't get it to you. Anticipating construction approval, we purchased the pipe (at 1973 prices, fortunately).
