Tracy is a recent graduate of Brigham Young University. Tracy received his BS, Degree in Electrical Engineering at the Summer commencement exercises, where he was also recognized by the College of Engineering and Technology for contributions outstanding and service to his department. Tracy was given ana-wa- rd at the convocation ex- ercises. The fellowship, which pays all educational ex. pe rises, is awarded on the and basis of academic excellence. leadership Tracy will attend the UCLA Graduate College of Ento obgineering in 1974-7- 5, tain a Masters Degree. A 1970 graduate of Bear River High School, Tracy was active in NFL and a student in the advanced electronics class taught by Mr. nciimrui uuip:, lie nas awarded a scholarship to BYU for 1970-7- 1. Tracy has just finished serving as President of the BYU chapter of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE), which is a national organization for professional engineers. He was also Engineering Aeek Chairman in 1973, the year that BYU received the superiority for all the universities in Utah. That same year he received the IEEE student award. outstanding He has also been active in the Joint Engineering Council and other organizations at BYU. Funeral services forMel-ri- n Gibbs were held in Idaho Falls Tuesday. Among those attending the se nice s from Portage were Mr. and Mrs. John F. Conley. Arthur Gibbs, Glen Morris, Mr. and Mrs. Douglas Gibbs, Mrs. Thelma Gibbs and Mrs. Gibbs accompanied Mr. and Mrs. T.A.John of woodruff. Idaho. Burial was in the Portage Ce me tary where many friends and relatives gathered to express their sympathies to the family. Mr. and Mrs. C.A. (Bud) Hall of Hopkinsville, Kentucky, have been visiting with Mr. and Mrs. William L. Gibbs. They have also visited other families and friends in the valley.
