Is I tei WE'D LIKE YOU TO MEET -- Sheryl Richards, specialist in hair cutting at the Riviera Beauty Salon. She has lived in Garland since she was Ave years old. She is a graduate of Bear River high school and also a four year seminary graduate. While attending Bear River she was an active member of the Fhi Gamma. Before going away to Weber College, where she graduated from the school of cosmotology, she taught a Sunday School class. Sheryl, enjoys doing all most everything. She especially enjoys snow and water skiing, sewing, cooking and dancing. Deweyville Doings ALENE FRYER Since the Deweyville news was omitted last week to make way for other things, there are several items which I will repeat this week. Thank those of you who called in regard to this and my apologies to the young ladies who send their H news to me each week so faithfully. Lt. Col. and Mrs. Wally Nielsen and Andy have been visiting the Ted Nielsen family,, They left last week to return to Phoenix, Ariz, and will leave the first of the month to make a new home in Virginia. Wally will take up new duties with the Air Force there. We have enjoyed seeing Col. and Mrs. Kent Blackham and 4-- children. They have completed a three year tour of duty in Germany, and now will be serving at Ft Ord, Calif. While they were here the family met together for the first time in three years at the Rupert Black-ha- m home. Mr. and Mrs. David Nyman and Crista came from Cedar City, Mr. and Mrs. Jerry from and children Jones Nampa, Idaho, Mr. and Mrs. Dale Blackham from Salt Lake City, Mrs. Constant Dewey and Rupert and Virginia spent a pleasant day together, with din- ner A and visiting. group of ladies drove to the home of Inez Barnard Hill in Wellsville last week for an afternoon of sewing, luncheon and Mrs. Horace visiting. Mrs. Tremonton, Mrs. Horace Gardner, Mrs. Floyd Gardner, Mrs. Orion Snow and Mrs. Jess Earl and Mrs. Clarence Fryer were the guests of Mrs. Hill. Mr. and Mrs. Brian Bnrbank attended the Logan Temple wedding of Brent Ahlmer of Ogden and his bride. Following the ceremony, they attended a brunch held at the home of Mrs. Voylet Grover in Fielding. Mr. and Mrs. Douglas Burbank and Jeff attended the reception that evening in Grace, Idaho. Miss Pat Cox, Tooele, was a weekend guest of Miss Margene Spackman. The young ladie s are attending summer session at Utah State University. Mrs. John (Cheryl Gardner) Roberts, Darren and Dale, arrived last week from Moline, m. They will stay for several weeks. Cheryl and John will take part in the national square dance performance in Salt Lake City, this week. John will arrive by plane and then return to his work in Illinois. A large family gathering was held at the Floyd Gardner home, Sunday. The grandfather of the clan, Martin Gardner, was able to attend. Others there were Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Gardner and family, Honeyvllle, Mrs. Roberts and her sons, Brent Gardner, Mr. and Mrs. Carl Chadwlck, Nampa, Idaho, Mr. and Mrs. Joe Meservy, LaMont and Randy Gardner, Mrs. Cindy Harrison, Mr. and Mrs. Eddie Fischer, Mr. and Mrs. Ron Gardner, Mr. and Mrs. J.Stan-le- y Gardner and family, Gaylen G. Hansen, and family, Mrs. Crystal Moore, Irene, El-o- na and Robert Gardner, Salt Barnard, Dewey Gardner, 1 (f- - 257-72- 41 Lake City. The history of Florence Ellen Loveland was read. The family enjoyed hearing Martin Gardner grandfather play his harmonica, songs from Randy Gardner and Crystal Moore, dances by Nancy Hansen, and songs from Floyd and Stanley Gardner with accordion and guitar. "Aunt Nola" is a favorite and we wish her a good recovery YOUNG ADULTS The Young Adults of the RegM-ion (formerly and Gleaners) trip to Lava Saturday, 30th has been cancelled. For the past two years she has been working for the Box Elder Board of Education in the Adult Consumer Education and High Night School. Mr. and Mrs. Andersen were in Salt Lake on business Tuesday. They also visited the Lyle Johnsons in Bountiful. Mr. and Mrs. Lee Allen, Mr. and Mrs. Merlyn King, Mr. and Mrs. Dale Larson, Mark Larson and Lynete Murphy participated in the Dance festival In Salt Lake and we re with the Latin group. Gayla Coombs was with the All Girls group. Thursday, Friday and Saturday. Mrs. Esther C lough came home Thursday after spending a week with friends in Hennifer, Mr. and Mrs. Perry Nowling. Mr. and Mrs. Jack Elmer spent Sunday in Wendover with their children Mr. and Mrs. Dennis Christofferson. Mr. and Mrs. Scott Petersen and Mr. and Mrs. Orval Grover were Logan visitors Saturday. Mr. and Mrs. Louis Larson attended the M.LA. Dance festival inSaltLakeThursdayeven-in- g and spent the night with Mr. and Mrs. Vaughn Derrick. Last Sunday Mr. and Mrs. Howard Maughan had dinner guests honoring Mike before his farewell in the evening. Places were laid for 40 relatives and close friends. Tuesday evening Mr. and Mrs. Maughan, Kathy Potter, and Mr. and Mrs. Scott Maughan accompanied Mike through the Salt Lake Temple after which they had dinner at El Matador. Friday evening the family gathered at the home of Mr. and Mrs. David Maughan in Hooper for a steak cook-ou- t. Saturday they took him to the Mission Home and had dinner at Senor Pepe's. Mr. and Mrs. Blaine Rhodes and family put Karen aboard a plane bound for Chicago. She was met by Mrs. Myra England and her girl friend and drove to Myra's home in Cincinnati, where she will spend her vacation. Mr. and Mrs. Dan Rhodes and family on leave from the armed services in Alaska left Monday for further assignments in White Sands New Mexico. Mrs. Reta Sorensen was at June Conference in Salt Lake Mrs. Friday and Saturday. Clyde Sorensen also spent two days there in conference. Mrs. Lenis Thrasher and three girls and Lynette Atkinson spent Saturday in Pocatello. Sunday gue sts of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Kirby were Mr. and Mrs. George Kirby of Garland. Mrs. Clyde Steed and Mrs. Gary Bell were in Beaver Dam Friday evening to the wedding reception of the former Julie Larson, daughter of Leo Larson. They also went to Portage to the reception of the former Denese Neal. Saturday Mr. and Mrs. Clyde Steed, the Gary Bell's and Miss Clara Archibald of Logan attended the Archibald reunion at Crystal Springs. The Gary Bell family also spent a day swimming and picnic ing at Lava Hot Springs in Lake Fork, Idaho. Kir. and Mrs. Gordon Taylor and boys of Brig ham were weekend visitors at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Hal Mason. Miss Debbie Mason, Miss La Donna Burgess and Mrs. Jimmy Burgess attended June Conference this weekend where Debbie and LaDonna participated in the dance festival. Mr. and Mrs. Arnold Lamb and boys spent Sunday in Salt Lake City. Miss Dixie Archibald, Mr. Leon Jenkins and Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Jenkins and daughter Linda spent Sunday in McCammon, Idaho visiting friends and rel- Idaho. Mr. and Mrs. Ivan Archibald went to Idaho Falls, Idaho this weekend to visit Dell Store in the hospital. Mrs. Ivan Archibald, Mrs. Dianne Yates and children and Dixie spent Monday in Brig-ha- m. Tuesday they went to Logan. Jeri Jones and Blair Jones, of Fielding spent the weekend at the home of their grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Ray Whiting of Plymouth. Mr. and Mrs. Carl Starr and daughter Karen attended the wedding reception of Denese Neal and Edward Tree Friday evening in Portage. Mrs. Glen Secrist and boys from Lake Fork, Idaho have been down visiting friends and relatives for the weekend. those they visited were Mr. and Mrs. James Estep, Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Secrist and Mr. and Mrs. Odean Estep and family. Miss Kristine Estep celebrated her 13th birthday Sunday. A birthday dinner was held in her honor.
