Show The Furniture From Portage Way Donations I Solicited The community expresses sympathy to the family of Mrs. Grace John at her passing Friday April 6th, at the age of 79, Donations of furniture are needed for the May 12, hospital auction, according to Rita Chad-a- z an auction official. Receipts from the auction will be used in the construction of a new hospital. Anyone interested in donating furniture should call Mrs. Chadaz at 257-24The hospital coffers were a little richer this week thanks to an auction conducted during the recent Utah-IdaSugar Co. dance at the Garland Armory. It took two and one half days to restore power to the area. The power lacked little more than one day of being off a week for some of the residents. Those at the north end of the line received power Sunday night. The middle group had power by Monday night We at the south end had power by Tuesday noon. Sunday school and Sacrament meeting were cancelled. The maincon-cer- n was for deep freezers ana water for livestock. Two portable generator units were put into use. They were relayed from one place to another as a freezer was refrozen. Water tanks were used to supply water to livestock. The generators would run som? of the pumps that were not to big. Primary was held at the home of Eugene Flint. Mutual was cancelled. We the residents of the area would like to thank those who helpad at this time. The Primary ward conference was held at the Flint home also.
