Show Legal Notices NOTICE OF DRAINAGE DISTr RICT ELECTION Notice is hereby given that a special election has been called to be held in the Iowa String Drainage District of Box Elder County, State of Utah on Tuesday the 20th day of August, 1968, to vote upon the following pro-posti- PROPOSITION: Shall the Board of Supervisors of the Iowa String Drainage District, Box Elder County, State of Utah, enter into a con- tract in behalf of said District with the United States, whereby said district shall borrow from the United States an amount of money not to exceed $45,150.00 which amount is to be repaid in such sums and at such times as may be agreed upon in not iocs than five (5) nor more than forty (40) years and shall bear interest at a rate not to exceed six (6) per cent per annum, the proceeds of which shall be used for no other purpose than paying the cost of constructing such drains, drainage canals or other like work deemed necessary to drain lands within said district or conserve the public health and welfare. The repayment of said indebtedness to be derived from a tax assessed, levied and collected on the lands within the drainage district. Said election will be held on Tuesday the 20th day of August, 1968. The polling place for said election will be at the residence of Mrs. William H. Beyer, within said district. The names of the judges who shall preside at said polling place are as follows: Anna Verna Barnes and Beyer, Nadine Vance. The polls will remain open between the hours of 7 o'clock A.M., and 8 o'clock P.M., of said day. That the total indebtedness to be incurred and the contract to be entered into with the United States is not to exceed the amount of $45,150.00 with interest thereon at a rate not to exceed 6perannum, payable with the repayment of said indebtedness to run for a period of not less than five (5) nor more than forty (40) years from the date of entering into said contract The proceeds received from the United States under the terms of said contract are to be used for no other purpose than paying the costs of constructing such drains, drainage canals or other like work deemed necessary to drain lands within said district, or to conserve the public health or welfare. semi-annua- lly All persons who are landowners within the said Iowa String Drainage District of which the equalized assessment roll for the year 196? shall be evidence, shall be entitled to vote at such election. Notice is further given that on Monday the 26th day of August, 1968, the first Monday next succeeding such election, the County Commissioners will meet at their regular meeting place in Brigham City, Box Elder County, State of Utah at 12 o'clock noon and canvass the returns and declare the results of said election.
