Show FIELDING By Florence Munson Visit In Mexico Mr. and Mrs. B. M. Petersen returned home Saturday evening from a two weeks vacation. They were accompanied by Mr. and Mrs. Phill Marton of Jerome, Ida. They visited with Mr. and Mrs. Jack Pierce and Mr. and Mrs. Wendell Hansen at McAllen, Texas and then went into Mexico where they spent sometime at Monteray and Dur-ang- o. Mr. and Mrs. Leonard Standing accompanied by Mr. and Mrs. Dennis Miller of Tremon-to- n attended a family dinner party at Ogden Thursday evening. Other members present were Mr. and Mrs. Jim Strickt, land, Mr. and Mrs. George Mr. and Mrs. France Standing, Mr. and Mrs. Beryl Standing and Mr. and Mrs. Quinton Beasley all of Ogden. Following the dinner they all attended a wedding reception for Mr. and Mrs. Larry Earl. Mr. Earl is a nephew of Mrs. Standing. Mrs. Earl was formerly Miss Diane Bow-cut- Luther. Misses Judy Hess, LaRee Gro-vand JaNae Zundel were among those who attended the F.H.A. Chapter at the Newhouse Hotel at Salt Lake City during the weekend. Mr. and Mrs. Elmo Munson and Mr. and Mrs. Dan1 Kent attended the Annual Pillsbury Banquet and daA;e held for all Pillsbury employees and, their partners at the "Apollo" Club in Ogden Saturday evening. Mr. and Mrs. Clark Rudd had as their Sunday dinner guests, Mr. and Mrs. Bob Jensen and Jimmy McCowan of Clearfield. The dinner was in compliment to Jimmy, who was celebrating his 13th birthday anniversary. Mr. and Mrs. M. J.1 Udy accompanied by Mrs. Colleen Laws and daughter Beverly of Bothwell spent Friday visiting with Mr. and Mrs. Jay Udy and family at Salt Lake City. Mrs. Jeanine Kent attended funeral service for Mrs." Ruth Goddard i at Malad last week. er Club Hears Travelogue The Book Lore Club met at the home of Mrs. Mattie Bourne Thursday evening. Miss Betty Jean Sorenson, who recently returned from an L.D.S. Mission to Denmark showed beautiful colored slides and told of her experiences while there. Luncheon was served vy the hostess to nine club members and guest, Miss Sorenson. The next meeting will be held at the home of Mrs. Myrle Udy in Riverside on March 21st. Mr. and Mrs. Willis Fryer were in Salt Lake City on business last week. Visiting at the E. C. Mason home during the weekend were Phill Mason of Salt Lake City and Mr. and Mrs. Leslie Voor-hie- s and family of Clearfield. Sunday dinner guests at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Owen Hess were Mr. and Mrs. Cloyd Pruitt and family of Clearfield, Mr. and Mrs. John Owen and Mrs. M. E. Owen spent Sunday at St. Charles, Ida., visiting with Mr. and Mrs. Ed Arnell and family. Mr. and Mrs. A. W. Burns have been spending a few days at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Arch Hall at Ogden. They cared for their grandchildren while the Halls were at Salt Lake City. Visiting with friends in Ogden last week were Mr. and Mrs. Keith Moss and Mr. and Mrs. Wendell Welling. Miss Mae Mason is spending this week at Soda Springs, Ida., visiting with her sister, Mrs. Helen Thomas and family. Mrs. Beverly Grill and daughter Sheri Lynn were overnight guests at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Spencer Phillips at Logan, Thursday. Out of State visitors at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Leonard Standing last week were Mr. and Mrs. Perry Earl of Oakland, California, Guests at the home of Bishop and Mrs. Rosel Zundel Saturday were Mrs. R. T. Nish and Mr. and Mrs. R. H. Nish of Logan. Dinner guests at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Udy, Thurs day were Mr. and Mrs. Evan Godfrey of Clarkston. Mrs. Rhoda Welling accompanied by Mrs. Arvilla Stark of Bothwell chaperoned 13 "teen age" girls as they attended the High School Basketball Tournament at Salt Lake City the latter part of the week. Tamara Welling, Judith Ciwen and Sherry Smith were the girls attending from Fielding. While there Mrs. Welling also visited with Mr. and Mrs. Leroy Welling. Mr. and Mrs. Vern Allred of Ogden called at the homes of Mr. and Mrs. Claude Allred and Mr. and Mrs. Leroy Allred last week. Mr. and Mrs. Melvin Udy and Mr. and Mrs. M. J. Udy return- - i ed home Tuesday evening from an enjoyable fishing trip at Lake Mead, Nevada. Mrs. Rowane Cannon accompanied by Mrs. Celia Bennett of Tremonton spent Friday at Ogden. Mrs. Cannon is preparing to leave in the very near future to join her husband, Lt. Cannon, who is stationed near Paris, France. Mrs. Ross Rudd and Mrs. Clark Rudd visited at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Evan Rudd at Logan, Thursday. Guests Entertain Club The Future Progress Guild met at the home of Mrs. Sara Moss Thursday evening- with Mrs. Jeanine Kent as Mrs. Elsie Welling had- - charge of the program which consisted of songs by Miss Elaine Adams, who accompanied herself on the guitar, two dance numbers by Janet Cowley of Tremonton and a humorous reading by Florence Roberts. Delicious refreshments were served by the hostess to twenty-thre- e and members guests. The next meeting will be in connection with the Social Development Club and will be held at the Recreational Hall on March 22nd. It will include the club members partners also. Mr. and Mrs. E. W. Sutherland and son, Glade, were dinner guests at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Wesley Goodsell and family at Newton last week. Enjoying a weeks vacation at California are Mr. and Mrs. Theo Richards. They were accompanied by Mr. and Mrs. Richard Calderwood of Tremonton. Visiting with Mr. and Mrs. Andrew Jensen and family last week were Mr. and Mrs. Jerald Jensen and family of Ogden. Mrs. Leona Standing accompanied by Mrs. Lila Miller and three little daughters of Tremonton, attended a party at the home of Mrs. Verna Beasley at Ogden, Monday. RIVERSIDE By Myrle Udy Many Attend Tournament Joe Forsberg drove the school bus to Salt Lake City to take students to the tournament Thursday, Friday and Saturday. Mrs. Forsberg attended many of the games with Joe. Mr. and Mrs. J. O. Hadfield spent the latter part of the week in Meridian, Ida., with their son and family, Mr. and Mrs. Ross Hadfield. Improving From Illness John Allen was taken to the Valley Hospital during the week for medical care for a seige of Bronchitis. He is reported much improved. Mrs. Nina Burnett accompanied by Mrs. Agness Burnett attended the funeral service in Malad for Mr. Peterson,, who was killed in the jet crash, the the weekend visiting with Mr. and Mrs. Sam Chournos at the Rose Bud Ranch and with Mr. and Mrs. Vernald Montgomery at Park Valley. Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Garn accompanied, by Mr. and Mrs. Lewis Spackman of Deweyville spent Thursday evening at Salt Lake City. Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Udy and daughter spent Sunday visiting with Mr. and Mrs. Sidney Godfrey at Clarkston. Mr. and Mrs. Wendell Welling returned home Monday rafter several days visit in Las Vegas, Nevada. Former Resident of Fielding Invited To Homecoming An invitation is extended to all former residents of Fielding to attend the Homecoming which is planned for Saturday evening in the ward hall. Wendell Welling, chairman of the event states that the banquet will be served at six o'clock to be followed by a program. Mrs. Bessie Bitter of Idaho Falls unexpectedly came to visit her sister and husband, Mr. and Mrs. Ed Udy, Friday night. Saturday, ' Bob Bitter, Mrs. Bitter's son, and three students from Logan visited at the Udy home. Mr. and Mrs. Oleen Udy and Mr. and Mrs. LaVoy Udy attended the Salt Lake Temple wedding ceremony of Miss Elouise Sandall. Mr. and Mrs. John Udy and baby of Logan spent Thursday, Friday and Saturday at the Austin Udy home while the family were at the state tournament. Mrs. Edna Ward and Esther Jensen went to Salt Lake City Saturday morning. They will remain there for several days with their daughters and families. Mr. and Mrs. Burl Herman- - sen and Mr. Ogden.
