PLYMOUTH By Deanna Nish When forecasted spring winds give Junior the urge to turn make sure he enjoys his fun in safety. "Flying kites in a stiff March wind is great sport, but it can be dangerous, too, unless proper precautions are taken, says B. L. Blood, Ogden division superintendent for Utah Power and Light Company. "For your own safety, and for the safety of others, observe these rules: 1. Fly kites in plenty of open space, and never fly kites near electric wires and poles. 2. Don't use metal or wire of any kind on kites. 3. Use only dry cotton string. Never fly your kite with wet string. Water is one of the best conductors of electricity. . 4. Never run across streets to get kites into the air. 5. Never climb poles to recover kites. Never try to release entangled kites by throwing stones at them. 6. Report kites caught in wires and poles to your nearest power company office. kite-pilo- t, pi By C. HAB&ISON The photographic paper of today plays a big part in securing prints of sparkling quality, but do you know how much work goes into the production e of paper? Rags were originally the source of the better papers, but somewhere along the line science managed to obtain wood pulp of the purity of cotton and the abilto resist the brittleness and ity yellowing of age. Paper processing today calls for chemically treating wood chips to change the pulp to fibers. Then comes a long scientific treatment of the pulp which calls for watering, churning, cutting, draining, sizing, screening and drying. The paper is then ready for more treatment which fills the pores, produces gloss, and provides a foundation for the emulsion. The result is a paper of unquestionable quality which serves amateur and professional alike when it comes to providing prints that do justice to their shooting" efforts. Unquestioned quality, by the way, is a label which applies to any photographic item you will find at C. HARRISON'S, 27 West Main. It is our "belief that there is no substitute for qual ity, but quality need not always be highly expensive. For anything in the photographic line, try C. HARRISON'S first for lasting satisfaction.
