Show Mrs. DOT II WELL By Mrs. Arvilla Stark Aneline Hansen Has Mr. and Mrs. Ezra Harris leave for Bellflower, Calif., Saturday morning to visit their grand daughters. They will be joined there by Mr. and Mrs. Wilford Watt who will take them to their home in Tucson, Arizona. They will also visit with John Watt, who is seriously ill. Mrs. LeRoy Petersen spent four days last week attending the Utah School Food Service Workshop at Richfield, Utah. Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Evans and Mr. and Mrs. T. R. Sessions spent Sunday fishing at Friendship Canyon. Mr. and Mrs. George Summers, Verlyri Adams and son Dennis were visitors of Glen Henry in Smithfield Sunday. In French Hospital Reed Adams is reported to be in a hospital in France for a second major operation. Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Evans and Mr. and Mrs. LeRoy Petersen were Salt Lake City visitors Tuesday. Debbie Lee, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Lorin Anderson of Salt Lake City is spending her vacation with her grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Roscoe Anderson. Mr. and Mrs. Ezra Harris and Mr. and Mrs. Jewel Harris and family attended the Harris Reunion in Clarkston Saturday. Mrs. Darrel Udy entertained for daughter Lora Lee's 6th Thirteen Tuesday. birthday guests were present and lunch was served. Mrs. Jennie Firth visited with her sister, Mrs. Lettie Dawson in Ogden Monday. Mr. and Mrs. Leo Stokes and Mr. and Mrs. Roscoe Anderson attended the wedding reception for Charlott Murill Saturday at Salt Lake City Mrs. Basil Adams accompanied them to Layton and they visited with Aleen Germer who is recovering from an operation. Vacation In Parks Mr. and Mrs. Ervin Summers and sons, Lee, Clyde, and Reed visited in Zions National Park, Bryce, Cedar Breaks and the Grand Canyon on vacation last week. Rudy Scholar of Evanston, Wyo., visited friends and relatives here Saturday and Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. Edward Stark and Mr. and Mrs. Dick Packer visited in Ogden with Mr. and Mrs. George Stark and Mr. and Mrs. Spencer Dewey and family Sunday. Mrs. Angeline Hansen, who lived in Tremonton for several years with her daughter, Sylvia Christcnsen, observed her ninety third birthday Friday. Mrs. Hansen told her three daughters who were with her on her birthday, that she was quite well and as hapoy as she had even been. She is able to get around the house some every day, although she is not able to get out as she did when she lived in Tremonton. son. Mr. and Mrs. Cliff Long of Idaho Falls spent the weekend with Mr. and Mrs. Rudger Forsgren. The Forsgrens visited in Smithfield with Mr. and Mrs Rawl Rice Sunday. C. e, MIDNIGHT SHOW FRIDAY, SEPT. 2nd "FENSUALITA" 20 Wins Trophy It was announced by Gordell Brown, assistant county agent of Box Elder County, that the flappy Ten Dairy Club of Corinne is the proud owner of the new traveling trophy awarded to them at the County Fair, for having the best dairy club exhibit. The leader of this club is L. Maurice Larson, assisted by Lamont Larson, both of Corinne. In order to win the trophy the club had to have one of the club members on duty at all times during the Fair, keeping the animals clean and be prepared to answer questions to spectators in regard to the activities of the club. y 4-- Dan Shaffer, son of Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Shaffer of East Garland, placed first in the Dearborn Michigan national exhibit of handiwork. His prize was $20. The card table he made in school last year as an industrial arts project under the direction of Charles Last. It contained 1043 pieces of various kinds of wood in the top. The table was also entered in the County Fair, where it won. first place. At an exhibit in Ogden last spring, the table also took first place and won a $5 prize. Guests at the Ralph Taylor home during the week were Mr. and Mrs. Harry Riddle of Bloomington, 111. The annual Fun Day at Fielding will be held Saturday. Committee members report that plans for the activities of the day include a parade, ball game, calf roping, and an evening program. ' 6 Mt. States Implement Company w Fern Flint Buried In Portage Impressive funeral services for Fern Flint, former resident of Portage, were conducted in the Portage ward chapel Monday afternoon. Bishop Walter E. Gibbs conducted the service. Mr. Flint died in Clearfield, where he has been living since leaving Portage. He had been ill several years. He was well known in Malad and in Bear River Valley. ' Surviving are his widow, Marilda Knudsen Flint, two sons, Ellis Var C. and Boyce Barton Flint, both of Clearfield and two grandchildren. G. E.
