Show THE LEADER, Tremonton, Utah Thursday, August 25, 1955 Recreation Program Ends .Social Events Jj .!i LiJMiiilUJiji 'iinii ' ITn hmumw j After a very successful ten weeks of supervised recreation in Tremonton parks, the summer program was concluded Friday. The Women's Civic League who sponsor the program feel that the smaller children have been greatly benefited and have supported the program fully. Several special events added interest to the recreation this year: the opening event attended by Uncle Roscoe, the party in July, at which each child was served refreshments by M. H. King Co., and the closing parties given by the directors at the two parks. Funds for the program were donated as follows: Women's Civic League, $100; Community Fund, $150; Tremonton City, s $150; Lions Club $50;, and and Jayceettes, $50. The committee in charge of this project included Mrs. Otto Brockman, chairman; Mrs. Rodney Morrison, Mrs. Wilford Harris, Mrs. George Lewis, and Mrs. Don Gibson. GOLDEN ANNIVERSARY PLANNED BY THE ORSEN JENSENS In honor of the fiftieth wedding anniversary of Lucinda Petersen and.Orsen Jensen, who were married in the Salt Lake Temple, there will be a reception at their home in Bear River City Sunday afternoon from three until five o'clock. A few announcements have been mailed out by the Jensens, but they invite all their friends and relatives to call on them on their golden wedding day. Mr. Jensen, has been a prominent sheep man in the valley for several years. He was one of the promoters and organizers of the Bear River City Acme Water Co. In earlier years he was a member of the Brass Band and a leading actor in Home Dramatics in Bear River City. Lucinda Petersen Jensen has been active in civic, political and religious organizations, She was a member of the group that organized the first Box Elder County Fair thirty years ago. She is the first and only woman to have served her County as a representative in the State Legislature, and was president of the State and County Farm Bureau. She was a promoter of the first Hot School lunch and was given a certificate of merit as the Champion County Newspaper Correspondent of Utah by the National Editorial Association. She still writes for publications, and is an active member of several state clubs and organizations. Mr. and Mrs. Jensen are the parents of five living children. All of their family live outside the state except the youngest son, who operates the farm. He and his family live adjacent to the parental homestead. .Jewel Carlyl, the eldest son is the sales manager of the Piston Ring Manufacturing Co. of New York City. He lives with his wife in a beautiful residential section near the sea. Darwin the second son is the chief chemist of the Douglas Aircraft Cor poration, living with his family at Long Beach, Cal. Pratt the third son is a Master electrician with General Motors Corp. has his home in Los Angeles. Morris A. is the youngest son who lives in Bear River City and operates the farm. ft K v?v' K the I - Z MRS. HAROLD DEAN HOWE former Miss Camile Cutler of Snowville, who will make her new home in Illinois. CAMILLE CUTLER MARRIED TO ILLINOIS MAN Mr. and Mrs. DeLamar Cutler of Snowville announce the marriage of their daughter, Camille to Mr. Harold Dean Howe, son of Mr. and Mrs. Robert L. Howe of Latham. Illinois. Wedding vows were spoken by the couple in Reno, Nev., Aug. 10, with Bishop Nathan Hurst officiating. The bride is a graduate of Bear River high school, and is a registered nurse at the Holy Cross Hospital in Reno. Mr. Howe has completed four years service in the Air Force, and is now a senior at Millikin University, at Decatur, Illinois. The newlyweds spent a few days in Snowville after their marriage and have now left for Illinois to make their home.
