In the four weeks that I have been l.ving in a rural home I have enjoyed it very much. It has been quite an experience living with a large farrl? family. It has been my pleasure to have been taken to the various schools, community meetings and church functions of the Tremonton area. I have found the peoe, teachers and students very cooperative, kind and considerate. I will never forget the people from Box Elder County, i Ferit Ucharci I graduated from the Agricultural college at Ankora. I am a teacher of animal husbandry at the agricultural school in Adama. There are 125 students at the school. jWe have experiment arms connected with our schools where our pupils learn by actually doing. We also teach economics and culture lessons. There are one agricultural college and four agricultural high schools in Turkey. I feel it a great privilege to come to America as an exchange student. I worked hald and studied much to pass my exam inations. I am greatly impressed with the United States and especially Utah. People are very kind and I appreciate it very much- I am here to learn the results of better farming methods to take back to my country. I find people live much better in rural communities here than do our villagers. I observe that many Utah people do not smoke nor drink which id similar to our religious teachings. It has been a great pleasure to visit ward and school groups to tell them of our country I wish to thank them for their interest in Turkey. Halit Kulahoglu My name is Halit Kulahoglu and I am married. My city is Denizli. That is in the western part of Turkey. My birth date is 1925. I am an agricultural engineer. I graduated from agriculture faculty in 1950. When I finished my school I worked at agriculture directory. After military service I began to teach in agriculture high school as a teacher. I have been teaching in same school for two years. My subject is animal husbandry. I came to U.S.A. to see and about my subject: as techniques, specific learn many things or methods observed which here, may be used or adapted to use in improving and practice increasing agriculture production in my country. I will be in U. S. one year. Mrs. Peck explained the symbol of a rose, the girls sang "The Rose Song," Shirley Cannon represented the class as speaker and Mrs. Leo Coombs responded for the mothers. Mrs. Wayne Gam,, stake leader also spoke to the group. Mr. and Mrs. Tom Grill of Ogden were Sunday guests of the John Owens. Mr. and Mrs. Horace Peck and Mr. and Mrs. Mrs. Reed Nielsen of Portage saw the stage play, "Seven Year's Itch", in Salt Lake City last week. am going to go to some farms and colleges in different states. First of all I came ta Utah state to learn rural home life and to speak Engish well. I am staying at the home of Thomas Summers in Tremonton. I like the U. S. very much. especially Utah, because Utah has a good climate, that mostly like the center part of Turkey a long fall, a pretty cold winter. But not so much rainfall. The method of agriculture is same too, irrigation and dry farming. I like very much farmer family. All family and people, girls and boys, women and men are very noble and helpful, and also they are working hard. I am very happy and glad to be with this family and all American people. For that rea son I want to thank my family and all American people for their kindness and friendship to me. LIBERTY THEATRE TREMONTON New NEW LOW PRICES Adults 5Q.
