The results will determine the players starting position on the ladder Any player can challenge one of the two players immediately above him on the ladder with the ultimate goal of being on the top rung at the conclusion, which will be Oct. 15th. Entry fee will be $1.00 with a challenge fee of $1.00 for each challenge during tourney Challenge matches will be 18 holes match play with full handicaps allotted. On Monday, August 21, three of our local gals traveled to St. George to play in the Southern Utah Junior Open and I'm happy to report they won the first three places. Geneva Harris won the Championship trophy and her sister, Irene, took second. 13 year old Sydney Burbidge of Milford took third place for a clean sweep of the laurels. The girls had a very enjoyable time and are now died in the wool tournament players All won nice merchandise prizes. Eyvon Martin and Jeanne Williams won the Ladies Scotch tournament held Tuesday by shooting a fine 53. Mary Patterson and Helen Hutchinson placed second with a 55 and Nell Smith and Emmie Tabor took third with 56's. The gals are planning the 3nd Annual Canyon Breeze Ladies Invitational tournament so all you ladies be sure to come to the course next Tuesday. A little get together tourney is planned. The gals are all hepped up about a 'Beat the Pro' round robin so be in on the planning next Tuesday. Full handicap has been suggested.
