Friends of the Roy Rumm-ler- s were happy to visit with them, Sunday. Roy was music at Beaver High instructor school a few years ago. CHIT CHAT BT ESTA were hapy Monday when our grandson and his wife, Mr. and Mrs. Donald Cox of Provo, stopped to see us. They had been to Panguitch to attend the funeral of their grandfather,, Mr Joseph Davis. About two miles out of Beaver they had car trouble, so Blaine and I drove them home. We stayed overnight with my brother and his wife, Mr. and Mrs Carlos Orton. On our way We to see my mother in Payson. She has been quite ill, but is now on the improve. The family of Mrs. Hattie Goodwin met at her home, Saturday to celebrate her birthday They enjoyed a delicious dinner prepared by the family and had a delightful visit. Those present were Mr. and Mrs. Roy (Eva) Goodwin of Ely, Nevada; Mr. and Mrs. Newell (Maude) Iverson of Delta; Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth (Garneta) Hollis and Mr. and Mrs. Clark (Alberta) Goodwin of Milford; Mr. and Mrs Gilbert (LaRue) Briggs, Mr". and Mrs. Claude (Thelma) Goodwin, Raymond Goodwin, and Mrs Willa Hansen. Mrs. Goodwin received many lovely gifts and good wishes on her birthday. Mr. Mrs. and Newell (Maude) Iverson recently enjoyed a plane trip to Alaska to see their daughter and family, Mr and Mrs. Lonny (Phyllis) Hansen. Lonny is stationed with the Army there. The Hansen's have three children. The recent arrival of a new one was welcomed into the family by the grandparents. The Beaver Valley Grazing Association and their wives enjoyed a delicious steak din ner last week at their cabin in Big Dog Valley. Present for the occasion were Mr. and Mrs LeRoy Harris, Mr. and Mrs. Dale Harris, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Harris, Mr and Mrs Ray Harris and Ned Harris, Mr, and Mrs. Paul Smith, Mr. and Mrs. Bert Smith, Mr. and Mrs. Albert T. Smith, Mr. and Mrs.Ronny Roberts, Mr. and Mrs Marvin Johnson, Mr. and Mrs. Buster Walker and Mr. and Mrs. Bernard Walker. The Association makes this an annual affair. After spending a month in Beaver, Mr. and Mrs. Marvin (Millie) Johnson returned to their home in Corona Del Mar.. They, took Dan Cox and Duke Davis to spend a week with them. Marvin is Principal of the school at Anahiem and had to be there for registration Mrs. Nancy Dennett "and two children of Cedar City spent last week in Beaver with her mother, Mrs. Iretta Morris. The William O. and Sarah Ann Orton organization held their reunion, Saturday, Aug. 12 in Panguitch at the Seminary building. Pot luck dinner was served at noon with a business meeting and program President Grover following. Orton conducted and the minutes were read by Hilma secretary. Mrs Iretta Morris attended the funeral of Mrs. Beverly Jean McHaney in Santa Paula, California last week. Beverly married Warren Morris and they were later divorced. They had two daughters, Susan and Kathy, who were visiting their Mrs j Grandma Morris, when they were called home by the death of their mother. Mrs. Morris, Susan and Kathy took a bus to Las Vegas and flew from there to Carpenteria, Calif., where her son, Warren, and his family reside. Beverly was the neice of Mrs Lillian Greenwood and Mrs. Golda Williams. Golda also attended the funeral and remained in California to visit her family. Mr. and Mrs. Gary Davis and Jack Davis were at the funeral and Iretta was happy to see them.
