BEAVER By Mildred Vardley Mr. and Mrs. Richard Easton and family of Ogden visited recently at the home of their parents, Mr. and Mrs. Ray Easton. They will soon leave for Indiana where Richard has a teaching position. The Third Ward MIA girls and their leaders spent two days at the girls home in the Beaver Mountains the past week. Mary and Sylvia Yard-le- y accompanied the girls as chaperones Mr. and Mrs. Mel Heslington lift Saturday for Linwood, Cal. for a two weeks vacation. They were accompanied by their two grandchildren, Norma and Bonnie Lindsay, of Murray. Mrs. Ann Messer and six children of Las Vegas has been a guest at the home of her mother,rMrs. Hettie Harris, and other family members. She will stay another week and then her husband will come to pick them up after finishing his summer school. Mr. and Mrs Jess Cartwright spent Saturday and Sunday in Las Vegas. Mr. and Mrs. Brent Cartwright and daughter accompanied them. The occasion was to attend the marriage and reception for a neice, Ann Marie Waters, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Roland Waters, to Mr. Roland Briggs of Phoenix, for all Arizona. They also visited with Mr. and Mrs. W V. Bakes before returning to their home. Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Baker and seven children of Brigham City are spending a week visiting at the home of their parents, Mr. and Mrs. Jess Baker and family. Tracy Ann and Tara Lee Stapley of Salt Lake spent 2 weeks at the home of their grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Leo Coates. On their way they stopped overnight with Mr. and Mrs. Warren Water and then went on to Fullerton, Calif., and the surrounding areas visiting in Knotts Berry Disneyland, Farm, and Marine Land, etc. They returned by way of Las Vegas where they attended the wedding of their neice, Ann Mrs. Myrtle Marie Waters. Waters accompanied them to Las Vegas where she visited with h;r three sons and their families until they returned. Shs came back to Beaver with them. STUDY GROUP The Sunday evening study group met for a fireside meeting at the home of Mr. and Mrs Clark Smith. Refreshments w:re served by the David and Craig Warr, sons of Dr. and Mrs Newell Warr of Salt Lake, 'spent a week visiting their grandparents, Mr and Mrs. M. J. Warr. Also at the Warr home for two weeks is their daughter Mary Mech-aand family of Salt Lake. They will visit for two weeks until Dr. Mecham returns for them. Also at the Warr residence on Monday was a former Missionary Companion, Mr. and Mrs. Leo Bringhurst, of Hurricane A fireside was held Sunday evsning at the home of Pat and Susan Yardley. Films of the Holy Land were shown to the group and refreshments were served. The Jensens, parents of Mrs. Frank Gentry, visited Sunday with their daughter and family, taking them back to Richfield for a short visit with m th m. (ml Mountain Mr. and Mrs. Pat Lindsay and family are spending some time in Salt Lake while their daughter Jennie goes into the hospital for surgery. Alton Atkin and Dee Farns-wort- h have been patients in the Beaver Valley Hospital recently. a week in Salt Lake with their daughter, Lorraine, who spent a week in the St. Marks hospital for surgery. Their daughter June also spent a week along with Connie Williams and Joanna Gillies at the BYU attending a school for year book and school paper editors.. The Karl H. Whatcott family in Beaver to have arrived make their home in the former Paul Smith ranch, west of the Kent Morgan home in the west fields. Mr. Whatcott will be the new principal at Beaver High School. He will bring 16 years of successful public school experience and we welcome the Whatcotts to our com munjty and hope they enjny their home in Beaver. At the home of Mr. and Mrs. Roy Lessing were Mr and Mrs Jack Wade and family of Roan oke, Virginia. They visited recently in Fillmore with their mother, Mrs. Stella Wade. The Wades are on their way to Mexico for a vacation. Dr. and Mrs. Terry Henrie spent several days in Oklahoma City en business. At their home over Ihe week-en- d were their parents, Mr. and Mrs. W.
