The liberals say that we have neglected our poor and not done enough in their behalf. (Golda) McShane, Salt Lake; Mrs. Clyde (Bernice) Allgood, Beaver; seven grandchildren; sixteen great grandchildren and nine great, great grandchildren. Mrs. Farrer was selected to tell stories for elementary age children at a reading last spring. The program, "Story Time", will be used during the coming school year. Hodges, 71, a Pen insula resident for the past 39 years, died July 19, 1967, in a California: hospital following an extended illness. Mr. Hodges was a native of Beaver, Utah, where he was born April 25, 1896, to Harry and Anna Blackner Hodges.. He went to Peninsula in 1928, lived briefly in Monterey then moving tr Pacific Grove, where, with his wife, Nettie Mcssinger Hodges, he made his home. For 17 years prior to his retirement in 1947, he owned and operated a service station in New Monterey. A veteran of Navy service in World War I, he was a past commander of Monterey Post 41, American Legion, and a former member of the post's crack drum and bugle corps. He belonged also to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-da- y Saints in Pacific Grove In addition to his wife, survivors include a daughter, Mrs Edwin (Betty) Kidder of Santa Cruz; a son, Howard M. Hod gas of Pebble Beach; throe sisters, Mrs. Arnold (Myrtle) Grimshaw of Carmel; Mrs. Frank (Vera) Enos of Monrovia, and Mrs. Fernando (Leila) Enos of Azusa: two brothers, Raymond C.
