Show Universal Microfilm Cwfl. 141 Pierpont Ave. PRESS TIME By George Congressman Burton, in his Report from Washington dated Aug. 9, 1966, says: "The proposal to extend the terms of Members of the House of Representatives from two to four years sounds very good on the surface. There is no question that the time and expense of running for reelection every two years is very burdensone. I can give testimony to that. "But I think it important that the people have a chance to exercise a sort of "referendum" on what has happened in the first two years of a President's term. Voting fori or against Congressmen who share his party, his views and his program gives the citizen about the only opportunity he has for such a "referendum'', "The House of Representatives was meant to be the branch of government most re' sponsible to the people.
