A or leashed wasn't that supervised dog attacked my dogs and me. There were small children outside who couldVe been hurt If incident you described shouldn't have on Hill AFB. Base regulations to require dogs be on a leash when being exercised, and walked or under the control of a mature, responsible individual when at the owners' premises. Unfortunately, as in this case, owners continue to ignore the policy allowing their pets to roam freely or be left uncontrolled in the housing areas. Anyone seeing dogs running loose should immediately call Davis Animal Control at 544-83or 75th Security Forces Pet owners need to at Ext Squadron understand they are responsible for incidents involving their animals and not following base standards. Failure to follow the rules will result in points being assessed and possibly removing the animal from base. AThe happened Diesel fuel .' don't the new base service stations diesel fuel? Less than one percent of the vehicles registered on base require diesel fuel With that figure in mind, coupled with the costs of a tank, dispensers and lines, permission to include diesel fuel in the construction plans wasn't granted. We would have to sell at least 10,000 gallons a month for it to be considered. Currently, figures indicate only 2,000 gallons or less would be sold. A project to build z third service station is at hand and I will recommend reviewing the possibility of offering diesel fuel at this new station. If you have more questions, call Tom Fredin at 776- - QWhy A Traffic solution the North Gate won't Qtt's apparent May I suggest changes to the road between the Roy Gate and Bldg. 1515 to Increase traffic flow and capacity? To get from the Roy Gate to the 1 200 area buildings, drivers must make several lane and speed changes. Currently, there are four lanes as a driver enters the museum area, then the road narrows to three lanes at the Roy Gate entrance. A fourth-mil- e past the entrance, traffic merges Into a single lane, changes speeds again, then merges into two lanes after making a sweeping turn just before Bldg. 1 51 5. If this sounds confusing, it is. There are four lanes from Bldg. 1 51 5 all the way to the East area and traffic flows well. think traffic flow, capability and merge problems would be improved If there were four lanes and more consistent speeds between the Roy Gate and Bldg. 1515. With the increased number of workers coming onto the base, this would improve safety. I Engineering has a project programmed in fiscal year 2002 that will correct this situation if the funding is received from Headquarters, Air Force Materiel Command. Until then, drivers are encouraged to drive defensively and courteously. A Civil Cafeteria cooking, cooling in the First, thanks to the ladles working new Bldg. 507 cafeteria. Their efforts are greatly appreciated, and we're all glad to have them feeding us. Second, when will the cafeteria's air conditioning be repaired? Q Our employees in the Bldg. 507 cafeteria are doing a great job. They are going the mile to support the mission, and ensure the customers are first priority. The air conditioning was repaired June 26, and we'll keep a close eye on it to ensure folks have a safe and comfortable working environment.
