Combine milk, sugar, salt and shortening, cool to lukewarm, Add eggs and yeast dissolved in cup warm water, add flour and mix to form a soft dough. Knead on lightly floured board until smooth and elastic. Place in bowl and let rise until double in bulk. Punch down. Let rest 10 minutes. Shape dough into small size balls, about the size of a golf ball. Roll each ball into melted butter, then in the sugar nut mixture. Arrange in a well greased 9 inch angel food cake pan. Sprinkle with remaining sugar-nu- t mixture. Let rise until double in bulk. Bake in 350 degree oven 40 to 50 minutes. Note: When you place dough into the pan use a hit and miss fashion to allow spaces between each ball of dough on the bottom layer. You must work fast because they rise quickly. The highlight of their trip was when they received the Pope's blessing in St. Peter's Square on the following Sunday. They enjoyed the beauty of the countryside and boarded a train for a scenic ride along the Mediterranean Coast, with the Alps in view. They then left the tour to make some side trips including a visit to Torene, Italy, where they visited with family members. They both agree it was a wonderful and memorable trip, never to be forgotten. Mrs. Frank Nisbett of Houston, Texas visited at the home of Mr. and Mrs. John Labori here for 3 days recently. She is Mr. Labori's niece and a former Helper resident. Her friends will remember her as the former Norma Labori. They had an enjoyable time. The Bamberger Monument, 8 miles east of Helper, was dedicated last Friday by a number of area dignitaries along with the third grade classes at Sally Mauro Elementary School here.
