WOOL DAZE: On Wednesday I met with representatives of the National Wool Growers Association (Casey Jones and Irv Jacobs), and we discussed legislation to correct the present critical plight faced by the nation's wool producers. Later in the day I introduced a bill HR. 4879, which wW amend the Tariff Act ad impose an equalization duty upn wool for which a parity price has been established. The effect of this bill will not increase the price of U. S. woolen goods, but will simply insure that foreign produced wool will not be admitted to this country below the current parity price being paid by the U. S. Government for domestic wool. This will help provide markets for U. S. wool and get the government out of the business of having to purchase wool because U.S. growers cannot sell it on the nroaunt market at the D3rlty nri r TOT CELEBRATES BIRTHDAY six vearold Annette nalniaz celebrated her birthday April L'6, 15 at a party given by her mother, Mrs. Paul Dalpiaz, at their home. fashions will Brilliant teen-ag- e in the celebration were Joining take the spotlight Friday, .May 15 22 invited guests who enjoyed at the annual Helper junior hish party refreshments, a movie and Spring Fashion Show. treats.
