Show Sports Briefs Soccer team escapes with win The Hill AFB Strikers played their third game of the season Saturday and came away with a narrow victory as they slipped by the Cobras of North Og-de- n, 4-- 3. Good defense kept the first 12 minutes of the game deadlocked as neither team could score, until Hill's Tyler Henry slapped a perfectly placed corner kick into the net. Unfortunately, the Strikers were penalized moments later on what Hill's playercoach, Mitch Garcia, called a "misunderstanding" and the Strikers were forced to play a player short for the rest of the game. To make things worse, Hill's Ryan Murdock was forced to leave the game due to a painful hip pointer. But the Strikers managed to hang on to the 0 lead 1-- at halftime. The two teams came out in the second half with s offense on their minds as many players took in on both sides, but the Cobras struck first the half to tie the score at But Henry again hit the mark, giving Hill the go- ahead goal off a feed from Harry Heiser. Shortly after, Garcia added another off a Lex Brockington assist. The game was far from over though, as the Cobras scored a couple goals to again even up the score with less than two minutes to go in the match.
