Show May 5, 1994 Hilltop Times 17 mm? At recent graduation ceremonies held at the Hill Aerospace Museum, 69 enlisted members graduated from Community College of the Air Force. The guest speaker, retired CMSgt. Rick Garbett, now senior research analyst with Southwest Research Institute, offered his congratulations to the graduates. He stressed the importance of higher education not only on active duty, but also when completing military service. Two awards were presented. TSgt. James M. Busby, of the 649th Operational Support Squadron was awarded the Air Force Association Aerospace Education Foundation Eagle Program grant for $250 and an achievement certificate. SrA. Cleveland Hayes II, of the 649th Medical Group, was awarded a $600 scholarship toward a degree program offered through the University of Phoenix. Since its beginning, the college has graduated more than 127,000 enlisted members in 68 mission-relate- d associate degree programs.
