Ration Prove River: Fishing from Deer Creek Reservoir downstream to the Olmstead Diversion Dam has been fair. Size limits and artificial lure regulations are still in force. Fishing is open below Olmstead with any legal bait. Strawberry Reservoir: Tributaries are closed until July 1. Fishing has been slow with morning and evening inlet success. Utah Lake: Channel catfish action has started to pick up with some nice channel cats being caught. Marinas and boat ramps are open. The park opens at 6 a.m. daily. Northern Region Bear Lake: The marinas at the State Parks Rainbow Cove and Garden City are open and launching conditions are good. Big Spring Creek is closed between Highway 30 and the lake and Swan Creek is closed at the mouth and 2,000 feet into the lake or as bouyed through June 30. Fishing success has been fair. Try trolling at various depths, particularly 30-5- 0 feet. Bear River: Fishing success is starting to pick up and should continue to be good fishing from Cutler Dam to the Great Salt Lake. Causey Reservoir: Good for rainbows and cutthroats using baits. East Canyon Reservoir: The reservoir has been restocked with 25,000 rainbow trout, many of which are brood stock; however, action continues to be fair. Logan River: Water level is high. Good fishing with natural baits and stonefly nymphs. Starvation Reservoir: Success for walleye and brown trout is still slow but improving. Strawberry River: The river is closed to fishing from Soldier Creek Dam to Red Creek. Mantua Reservoir: Recent surveys indicate that fish populations are birds. suffering some loss due to predation by Ogden River: Fishing on the South Fork will be more difficult as the tubing season begins. Water below Pineview is high and murky. Pineview Reservoir: Fair success for crappie on the east side of the reservoir. Try white or chartreuse mini-jig- s at various depths and shelter areas. Good fishing for nice sized black bullheads. Porcupine Reservoir: Very good fishing for splake. Rockport Reservoir: Spotty success. The best success has been from boats and near inlets. Upper Prove River: The water level is high. Fishing is fair with much of the upper Provo and Beaver Creek recently stocked. Highway 150 from Kamas is open to Trial Lake.
