Stiverson, Detachment 6, 17th Weather Squadron, was awarded the John Levitow Honor Graduate Award for Class 89-- at the Noncommissioned Officers' Leadership School graduation on June 6. Sergeant Stiverson was the number one student in a class of 33 students and was also awarded the Commandant's Award and the Military Studies Award. Distinguished graduates for the class were Sgt. Michele D. Brown, 729th Tactical Control Squadron; SSgt. Terrance D. Prymek, 2952nd Combat Logistics Support Squadron; and SSgt. Michael S. King, 2849th Security Police Squadron. Richard Waltrip Communicative Skills Award; and SSgt. Steve A. Washington, 388th Equipment Maintenance Squadron, who was presented the Class Noncommissioned Officers' Award. The guest speaker for the ceremony was retired CMSgt. Guy T. Ventura, the former commandant, NCO PME Center. Chief Ventura challenged the students to keep the Air Force the best in the world. "Be a role model, lead by example," he stressed to the students. This graduation ceremony was also notable in that it was CMSgt. Larry L. Smith's last graduation as commandant of the NCO PME Center.
