Show WEEKLY PAPERS TO HOLD ANNUAL MEET The 62nd annual convention of the Utah State Press Association will be held February 12. 13, 14th at Hotel Utah. Weekly publishers from all parts of the state will be in Salt Lake for three days of shop talks, luncheons, banquets end to renew acquaintances wun omer publishers, their families and friends. Publishers representing virtually every town in Utah will begin activities ac-tivities with an open house Friday night in the Jade room of the Hotel i Utah. All Associate Members of the USPA and friends are invited to attend. Saturday will be a full day of activities with talks on cooperative advertising by Ralph Pitts, Graybar Electrlx; Grocery advertising by Claude Purles, Associated Food Stores; Legal advertising, Ken Chamberlin, District Attorney for the 6th Judicial District; Panel discussions dis-cussions will be conducted on "How to get the most out of classified advertising?" and "Politics and Publishers". Arthur R. McQuiddy, district director di-rector of public relations, U.S. Steel Corp., will be the speaker at the luncheon Saturday. His subject will be "Pardon me but your public relations re-lations are showing". During the annual business meeting meet-ing in the afternoon Saturday, a special program has been prepared for the ladies. Mr. and Mrs. Stanley Russon will give a reading of the New York stage comedy "Anniversary "Annivers-ary Waltz". Convention delegates and their friends will enjoy dinner and dancing danc-ing on the Roof Garden at the Hotel I Utah Saturday .night. Ed Arnold, Mergenthaler Linotype Corp., will be the speaker. For the Sunday morning devotional devo-tional exercises the convention dele gates will attend the Tabernacle Choir broadcast and the "Spoken Word" in the L.D.S. Tabernacle. Following the broadcast Edmund C.' Arnold, type desig nexpert will conduct his famous "Shirtsleeves Ciinlx" on newspaper makeup.
