Thursday's meal will feature the traditional turkey, sweet potatoes and pumpkin pie plus not so traditional offerings like honey glazed Rock Cornish hen, shrimp cocktail and apple pie. Thanksgiving announcements printed with the menu and a special message have been signed by Maj. Gen. Charles McCausland, commander, Ogden ALC; Col. John Wolfe, commander, Hill AFB; and Installation Chaplain (Lt. Col.) John Hellstern. Marvel Seay, Hillcrest food service supervisor, anticipates from 300 to 400 people. She said the annual service is a favorite among airmen. "It's all in fun, but after 363 days of service they figure it's their turn to be served by the commanders," she said. It's the annual Thanksgiving feast which features aside from good food helpings dished up by members higher up. Those who may be behind the service line are CMSgt. Joseph Jones, Ogden ALC Senior Enlisted Advisor, Col. James Johnston, commander, 388th Tactical Fighter Wing; and a representative from the base chapel. The Thanksgiving meal will be served from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Thursday in the Hillcrest dining hall. Immediate members of the family and two guests of enlisted military personnel and authorized officers are invited to attend. The surcharge for military members and their families has been waived. Membership dues are $10 a month. No initiation fee is charged. Club representative George Ball said activities scheduled for December include live music on Friday and Saturday evenings, special dinner menus on Thursdays and all the chicken you ceremocan eat on Wednesdays. Benefits available all year long, he said, in- elude cash checking privileges, a luncheon room with waitress service, hot appetizers in the lounge on Wednesday and Friday eveningsr a Sunday buffet and live music for dancing. The buffet service is a specialty of the club's new chef, Ivan Nyman. Omelettes, prime rib, ribs and fresh fruit and salads are among the featured items. Mr. Ball said the membership drive follows recently completed renovations at the club, Bldg. 150. For the past year, crews have been busy extending the dining hall, adding two rooms for private parties and increasing the lounge size.
