Personnel in the 650 1st Range Squadron hosted several cadets from the U.S. Air Force Academy, Colorado Springs, Colo., and several legislative as- sistants on tours of the air combat maneuvering instrumentation facility. In addition, the legislative assistants toured other portions of Hill AFB and the Utah Test and Training Range. The tours were part of the squadron's Project Warrior program. The air combat maneuvering instrumentation facility allows visitors to view missions which are . displayed on large, color screens. They can see "dog fights" being performed from almost any angle and gain the sensation of actually flying the mission. The facility is not for the express use of visitors, however. It assists fighter crews in improving their air combat training by recognizing parameters for lethal weapons employment. In addition to the tours, the visitors also received slide briefings and presentations on missions of the squadron, Hill AFB and Ogden Air Logistics Center.
