It may not be the big prize, but it was something. All I have ever gotten was the check for ten cents that Reader's Digest sends out once in a Marie said "wait till spring," but they came anyway. Both, are feeling and looking good. If you travel through Baker, Nevada and see something hanging in a tree with ice skates on, it is only Farrell Smith getting his back In place. He has wife Georgia put a rod through the ice skates and then haul his body up In the tree, where he hangs head down for a while and this fixes his back. The Baker Social Club had a very nice and super good bar-b- -q Easter Sunday at the Smith's. Leg of lamb and turkey and plenty of salads, dips, cakes and just other good things to eat. They sure do plan neat parties. Gen Richardson and Evelyn of Baker, took three days and went to Las Vegas on business. They went to shows and had a very nice time. It was tax time and so Carl Dear den took daughter-in-la- w Rhea Dear den to Provo to help. Both enjoyed getting out of the valley after the long winter. Keith and Eddy Stapley stopped by and will return to their summer home op Snake Creek in late June. They just were checking on and hope the everything water does not get too high. Also up for a short visit from Arizona were Blanche and Earl Yersin. They had been in Ely with daughter Thelma Heckethorn and came here to stay a day with daughter-in-laGen Richardson. They shall also return in the merry month of June or July. The hospitals are doing great business. Owen Gonder was In Holy Cross in Salt Lake with his back and after many, many tests, his doctors released him and then Owen had to put wife Pat in the hospital In Delta as she had nose bleeds and they just wouldn't stop. She came home for a day but went right back up to Provo and there they were able to help her. Hope those nose bleeds are fixed. Fred, Lady and I were in Salt Lake for my appointment and the doctor said I was going to be okay. This Is good news. There was an Open House held for Joseph Swallow, son of young Dick and Donna Swallow and for Randy Mur- w, phey, son of Don and Ruth The two boys Mnrphey. are going on missions for the LDS Church. There was dinner and dancing to add to the good time. Travel time again for Gen Richardson. Daughter Donna Corey drove down from Salt Lake and took her back up for her doctor and dentist and finally appointments brought her back this last weekend. Everything Is going fine.
