The 2952nd CLSS came in first in the aircraft maintenance unit category and Oklahoma City ALC won in the depot maintenance category. Starting with the staff sergeant selection cycle in January, a promotion system will be implemented for promotions to staff sergeant, technical sergeant and master sergeant. This is as a result of the recent Air Force policy to promote more airmen in critical shortage skills in these grades during the next three years. To gain maximum benefit from these additional r promotions, the Air Force will use a promotion system to these grades over the next three years.
