Show HILL TOP TIMES ffcrch 27, 1C31 APAF proceeds dommb This week has been a busy one for the Air Force Assistance Fund campaign Ten swimmers representing nine organizations collectively swam almost 18 miles and raised $1,300. Those participating were: Col. Al McNamee who swam 26 laps and collected $320 in pledges. A1C Robert Bucklew swam 72 laps and collected $192.96. A1C Carol Smith hit the water for 22 laps and $127.60. A1C Gail Davall went 36 laps for $122.40. Capt. Bruce Fisher splashed for 72 laps and collected $103.60, while Lt. Ron Sopata went 165 for $61.05. Maj. Jim Stouffer swam 45 laps for $33.75 and John Langford went 36 laps for $31.70. Slated for tomorrow is, the big auction of rarities and collectible "junque" in the base exchange parking lot beginning at 11 a.m. Brig. Gen. A. Paul Bruno will be the auctioneer. While at the auction, you can walk over to the helicopter from Detachment 4, 40th Aerospace Rescue and Recovery Squadron, get behind the controls and have your photo taken by members of the 2849th Munitions Test , Squadron photo section. A donation of $3 will buy a 4x5fi nch photo, delivered on the spot. Next Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday will be the' annual for the fund. Runners should assemble at 10 a.m. on anyone of the three days at the base gym track. Some who have already volunteered are Col. Franklin Variey, deputy Hill AFB commander; . " t $2,000.
