He earned a master's human resources degree in management from the University of Utah, attended Squadron Officers' School in 1974 and completed the Command and Staff College in 1979. Major McKellar came to the squadron from the Aircraft Division, Directorate of Maintenance, where he has been stationed since September McKellar received his commission through Officers' Training School in 1968 and was immediately assigned to the Titan II missile system program at Little Rock AFB, Ark.
