Show HILL TOP TIMES Page 14 April 27,1979 The search for the 1979 Hill AFB Rodeo Royalty is about ended. Seven women will begin their competition next Thursday, May 3, at 9 a.m. in the base NCO Club, where they will be judged on appearance, personality, photogenic ability and knowledge of horsemanship. AT 2 P.M. THEY WILL again face a panel of judges and be judged on horsemanship and riding ability. Judges for the contest are Ben Day, Coca Cola Bottling Company; Kent Henderson, Accounting and Finance Division; Nedra Green, a retired base employee; Dana Surrage. former Miss Rodeo Ogden queen and Miss Hill AFB; Sharon Robinson, horsewoman and barrel racer and Amy Johnson. 508th CAM Squadron. TROPHIES WILL BE awarded to a queen and two attendants, Miss Congeniality, Miss Horsemanship, Miss Personality, Miss Appearance and Miss Photogenic. Following are the contestants: South Weber. Her parents JILL JACKSON is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Jackson of Morgon, both of whom are base employees. Her interests are horseback riding, skiing, leathercraft and art. She has been a Little County Rodeo. 4-- H Buckaroo queen. She will ride her own horse called Oakie Sue in the competition. " LISA POLL is 16 years old. Her father is Duane W. Poll, who is employed on Hill AFB. Her interests are skiing, playing piano, horseback riding, Softball and track. She is a member of the South Weber Junior Posse and the High School Rodeo Association. She has been Davis County Junior Queen, South Weber Junior Posse Queen and was runner-u- p to the Weber County Junior Posse Queen. She will ride her own horse called Deacons Rocket in the contest. NATALIE JORGENSON is the daughter of Lyle and Afton Jorgenson of BRIGGS is the Mr. and Mrs. Ted D. Briggs of daughter is an electronic integrated Her father Hooper. systems mechanic in the Directorate of KATHY of Maintenance. r Her interests are horseback riding, playing piano and sewing. She is a member of the Junior Posse and has entered Hooper Little Buckaroo and Junior Posse queen contests. She will ride her own appaloosa named H. Chico Ringo in the contest. fvi - ' Miss Jorgenson will ride her own quarterhorse called Joe in the competition. DEBBIE ORTON is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Harold Orton of Morgan. Her father is employed on Hill AFB. - Her interests are swimming, water skiing, horseback riding, sewing and camping. She is a member of the Morgan High Rodeo Club, and Miltanas Riding F.F.A., Ruff Riders the High School Spikers Rodeo Club and the Club. Taylor She has competed in many horse shows, rodeos and queen contests. She will ride her own quarterhorse named Jack in the competition. 4-- H STEPHANIE VAN ALLEN is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Richard Van Allen of Roy. Her father is a retired Air Force major who is now employed at Thiokol. Her hobbies are skiing, swimming, jogging, riding and training horses, designing and making turquoise jewelry, cooking and designing and sewing her own wardrobe. She is a member of the Spikers High School Rodeo Club, past president of the Uintah Club and past captain of the Uintah and Roy Junior Posses. She has been queen of the Roy Junior Posse, Manila High School Rodeo, Randolph High in the Weber Scliool Rodeo and runner-u- p v'ounty Junior Posse, Oakley High School Rodeo and Coalville Fair. She will ride her own appaloosa named Angelita Plauditt in the contest. . 4-- H Club. She will ride her own quarterhorse called Choice Questions in the contest. She was first attendant to the Hill AFB Rodeo Queen in 1978rand has been in the Show and the Morgan Golden Spike County Fair. BECKI RICHARDSON is 18 years old. She is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Kent Richardson of West Ogden. Her interests are skiing, sewing and high school rodeo. She attends Clearfield High and is a member of the High School Rodeo Spikers Club. She has won in the horsemanship category of the Junior Division at the Davis ' ' X Her interests are rodeo, basketball, singing, dancing, playing the guitar, leathercraft and skiing.
