Wayne Skora, flying safety officer for the Wing and project officer for the fly-i- Fifteen private aircraft landed at Hill and an additional 12 to 15 light planes landed at Ogden Municipal Airport. Some of the planes were diverted to Ogden due to severe cross wind at the base. The visitors from these aircraft were bussed to the base. n. Following the seminar the visiting pilots continued the tours and joined the base open house activities on the flightline. Many other pilots and their families drove Major Skora stated that the fly-i- n was a "rousing success" and that all the flyers participating came away with a better understanding of each other and of the flying mission of the 388th TFW. to the base to participate in the planned ac- tivities. Aviators that landed at Hill were greeted by Wing representatives and driven to Bldg . 5 in aircrew vans. There they received a briefing and tour of the 4th Tactical Fighter Souadron, a tour of the Wing's Life Support facilities, the Hill Radar Approach Control (RAPCON), and saw the movie, "To Fly and Fight," which depicts "Red Flag" operations at Nellis AFB, Nev. At 10 a.m. the flyers attended a flying safety seminar at the NCO Club, where they were greeted by Col. Davis C. Rohr, Commander of the 388th TFW.
