Show rrJi PGTIQM3. Project Eagle Eye r? (sidle Ui3 On May 19, a new project was started at-Hil- l AFB involving nearly every full colonel assigned,.: to the Ogden Air Logistics Center. Dubbed "Project Eagle Eye," it planned as a positively oriented program to Help eliminate many of the less obvious problems which frequently are overlooked by busy managers, but often discovered during inspections by outside agencies. A particular target of "Eagle Eye" will be the small items which insidiously can grow larger and eventually affect the unit mission. In implementing Project Eagle Eye, the base mm mm mm has been divided into 27 geographical areas, cluding Little Mountain and Hill-Wendov- D"(sS ma mm especially prepared by the Ogden ALC Safety Office and the Inspector General. The checklist, however, will be used as a guide and each "Eagle Eye" colonel has been instructed to be alert for problems not falling into the checklist categories. Once each week, all colonels will report their findings under Project Eagle Eye to the Ogden ALC monitor, Brig. Gen. Cornelius Nugteren, Ogden ALC vice commander. Base officials anticipate that Project Eagle Eye will result in a cleaner, safer and more efficiently productive base. in- er Range. UTAH Vol. 32 No. 20 ft F-1- 1978 s? pirsrair&i DFafsJ5 o It was announced yesterday in Washington, D.C. that the Air Force has made a final decision to convert the 388th Tactical Fighter Wing located n Phantom aircraft to the 6 here from the fighter multi-missio- F-1- F-4- D aircraft. In reaching the decision, the Air- Force - considered the final environmental impact statement which was filed on Nov. 16, 1977. This statement indicated that no significant adverse impact to the Hill AFB area would result from this conversion. 16 tactical Fighter wing. f 4 The announcement said that the action could result in an increase of approximately i personnel authorizations and expenditures of about $15 million in construction at Hill.
