McKenzie and Oren C. Nielson, Navigation Instruments, Photographic, and Training Pevices Division; Capt. Joel L. Lovett, Lloyd G. Norseth, MSgt. Floyd E. Hudson, TSgt. Pieter C. Wouden, Rell W. Riv2S Jr., Maj. Peter Bevans, Capt. Joseph C . Maggi, Anthony J. Inverso, SrA. William T. Bishop, SMSgt. Thomas W. Bell Jr., and George Jv. Freestone, Missile, Airmunitions and Weapons Division; and Capt. John W. Kehres, Clark H. Rose and Jack P. Winn, Aircraft Division. The Hill nominees now compete within AFLC. A total of awards are presented by Air Force. 24 Attached to Missile Motor Test Unit, Sergeant Wouden through his personal ingenuity devised an innovative method of removing the missile base adapter rings from Minuteman Missiles in storage. "The utilization of this procedure will be of lasting significance," states the nomination, "by saving the Air Force over $1 million in base adapter ring purchases. He established storage procedures for AGM-6- 9 SRAM take apart motors and a new method of removing the third stage carriage from Minuteman Missiles in storage. He was instrumental in the acquisition and installation of a proof load facility at AFLC Lakeside Test Range. The Air Force will realize substantial savings through the use of these new methods and procedures. Sergeant Wouden has combined individual initiative, technical proficiency and an aggressive approach to establish an enviable record of achievement and to greatly improve procedures and facilities within the Range and Data Acquisition Section."
