President Ford presented a Special Congressional Silver Medal to retired Air Force Brig. Gen. Charles E. "Chuck" Yeager in a Dec. 8 White House ceremony. San Antonio and Sacramento Air Logistics Centers in turn won command awards under the AFLC Quality Assurance program. Hearing safety has also been made a special interest item in all future management effectiveness inspections and staff assistance visits by the AFLC Inspector General and Surgeon.
