It was recently decided by the Surgeon General and the Military Traffic Management Command that all foodstuffs are considered perishable and are not authorized to be placed in long-terstorage. Canned foodstuffs are excluded from storage, except for short term while awaiting quarters assignment in overseas areas in lieu of storage-in-transpending shipment.
