Show Thanksgiving X Day it 27, 1975 Now. Vol. 28 No. 46 JKSMKX. f J.. Thanksgiving Message To The Armed Forces Americans, at Thanksgiving, do far more than mark a tradition the Pilgrims began some three and a half centuries ago. Generations of Americans have paused on this day to thank God for His blessings and to reflect on the moral precepts upon which our Nation has been built. As a people, we have used Thanksgiving not merely to reflect on our blessings of the past but to consider God's promise for our future. This year, there have been some hesitant but measurable steps toward a more peaceful world. It is fitting on this day that we ask God to guide these endeavors and nurture these beginnings into the permanent peace sought by all people of good will. God does not give His blessings freely; they have to be earned, the recipients, worthy.
