F Ktf t V A i radiology seminar was held at Hill AFB one-da- y last week which attracted more than 100 dental assistants from Utah. and Supply Co., Salt Lake City, furnished all equipment used at the seminar and had two technicians on hand to explain new procedures. Also included on the program was a noon luncheon and a base tour. Colonel Buchholz, chairman of the symposium, said that this is the first time a radiology seminar has been held for dental assistants in Utah. Lt. Col. (Dr.) R. E. Buch-holbase dental surgeon, said that the seminar updated the dental assistants in new radiological techniques. Site of the conference was the base "teen" club and it ran from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Main speaker was Dr. Buch-hola nationally known head and neck radiologist. He exdiagplained five new nostic techniques, one of which he developed at Hill AFB. The women dental assistants reviewed two Hill AFB protechduced films on discusniques, conducted panel sions, and saw techniques actually demonstrated on a new machine brought dental to the seminar. The aircraft deposited the drums about 4 to 6 feet apart and in the form of an "X." Derral Allen, watch super 55-gall- on visor for the Radar Approach Control Center (RAPCON) at Hill AFB, said that the drums will be used as a navigational aide by light aircraft pilots en route between Ogden and Salt Lake City. The enroute aircraft will report their position to RAP-COor Salt Lake City Radar Approach Control.
