The quarterly Industrial Engineering- Division Supervisors' party was recently held at the ShanDoah in Layton. After a lovely dinner, the party went on the Cameo Lanes Bowling Alley, where they made up six teams for an evening's play. High team honors went to: Edgar Leigh, Phil Bodily, Helen Hilburn and Sally Seabreeze. - two-we- ek HONOR NEWLYWEDS Employees of the R & M Division of Supply surprised Necha Miller Fordyce, a class and items clerk in the Accounting Section, with a cake and gifts to celebrate her marriage to Don Fordyce, who is employed in Maintenance. The newlyweds were married recently in Elko, Nevada, and are making their home in Ogden. BUSY SEA BEE tv V; FETED AT FAREWELL lit' When Alida Hawkins retired recently from her position as contract negotiator in Procurement, she had achieved 24 years of government service which started at Ft. Riley, Kansas. After three years she transferred to Biggs AFB, Tex., and remained 18 years, coming to Hill in 1966. Alida lives in Woods Cross with her husband who retired from government service last year. She and Mr. Hawkins plan to do a lot of traveling in the next few years. V'f Jl Mrs. Hawkins BRIGHT FUTURE Mr. and Mrs. II. J. Thiros of Layton are the proud parents of Cyndia, who is not only a member of the Utah Civic Ballet but is also an accomplished "twirler." She has 27 trophies and eight medals which were presented her for her twirling skill. Cyndia performed in the "Nutcracker" Ballet this winter, and has a bright future in store, as she is also interested in the violin. Mr. Thiros is a technician in the Landing GearTrainer Equipment IM Division of Materiel HEIR FORCE Congratulations are extended to Capt. and Mrs. Joseph Levisky, who became the parents of a baby son born Feb. 21. Captain Levisky is assigned to the Reliability Branch in the Service Engineering Division of Materiel Management. f . ) Mrs. Don Greathouse HAWAIIAN HONEYMOON A late winter wedding was solemnized at the Salt Lake Temple when Carolyn Deeben, of Security Police Division, became the bride of Don E. Greathouse of Materiel Management. A wedding breakfast hosted by the groom's parents, Mr. and Mrs. J. Earl Great-hous- e, was held in the Garden room of the Temple Square Hotel. At the evening reception given by the bride's mother, Mrs. Clarence A. Deeben, in Springville, the bride wore a white satin gown with lace panels, the bodice, sleeves and panels of which were covered with seed pearls. Four attendants and four flower girls accompanied Carolyn. The newlyweds had a Hawaiian honeymoon and will make their home in Clearfield. Charles E. (Gene) Wood, an inventory management specialist in the F-- 4 Aerospace Ground Equipment Section, recently completed two weeks reserve training at Gulfport Sea Bee Base, Miss. Gene enlisted in the Navy at 17, shipped out to ports in the Pacific and European theater and after getting discharged, enlisted in the reserves. He stayed with the Navy Reserves two years and transferred to the Sea Bees in 1947. He was employed in 1946 at the Navy Base at Clearfield ' V and came to Hill AFB in 1953. While training there at Gulf-por- t, f, he acted as training co- 5VI..: ordinator for the builders and and electricians. GUEST OF HONOR Utah Air Force Association president Jack Price, Maintenance, was guest of honor at a recent installation banquet of the Ogden Squadron, Civil Air Patrol. Gregory and Mom NEW ARRIVAL Mr. and Mrs. James Young announce the arrival of a son, Gregory Lynn, born Mar. 2. The proud father works in the Field Services Function, and his mother, VaLoy, was formerly a secretary in Maintenance. The baby's grandmother, Jean Judkins, is an employee of the Supply directorate. BIRTHDAY BABY perfect birthday gift was received by Mae Hill, reportable items clerk in the R & M Division, when a first granddaughter was born March 3. The present is the daughter of Mae's son, James, and her daughter-in-laJoyce Volmar Hill. The couple live in Woods Cross. A HAPPY OCCASION Phyllis Riddle, secretary to James Blair, chief of the F-- 4 U & D Rranch, receives a wedding' gift from her friends in the branch as she leaves to become Mrs. Steven Manful. '4 A,' Art Francis, section chief of Transportation Data in Shipment Planning, spent his two weeks' vacation attending a senior Transportation Officer refresher course at Ft. Eustis, Va. This was training for his mobilization assignment as a major in the U.S. Army Reserve.
