Wohl, Ev? , , f, was a member of a two-ma-n team which recently won the 17th : ..lsMili S. U. annual national debate tournament sponsored by the tary Academy at West Point. Helen will travel. to Hanover, N. H., in June for Frank's graduation from Dartmouth. Next year Frank is attending the University of Chicago Law School where he has been awarded an IplilliilP honorary scholarship. ARMED FORCES DAY WORKERS COMMENDED at a friends and luncheon held at the officers club on the occasion of his retirement. Forty-tw- o people were in attendance. His wife, Helen, was an honored guest at the event Russell, who has worked 23 years in federal service, was presented a retirement certificate by Maj. Saul Poliner and a farewell gift by his friends. Lt. Col. Leonard H. Nathe, Youth Activity Fund Council, said that their diligence resulted in a sizeable profit to support the youth activity summer program. Harold Orton, chief of Military Recreation Branch, and Dave Bingham, chief of hobby and special activities, organized the booths. Maybury and Cake ROUD AMERICAN James Maybury displays the huge cake his friends surprised him with on a special anniver sary last week. James, who formerly lived in England, was observing his 15th anniversary in America. When his friends called him "front and center" and presented him a special cake baked in his honor, he was highly pleased. The cake was inscribed with an icing message: "15 Years in America".
