Mi. soun. The REF, which is the outfit of its type in CADF, only was invited to enter the tournament along with representative teams trom the 5 divisions in the CADF. lhe REF is very small in number compared to the divisions represented and many of the divisions sent all star teams; so the Hill boys are to be commended for finishing in third place. The boys themselves felt could have gone farther had they they had an additional pitcher to spell on Arfu uiaridge Burchett. Airman Burchett, who pitched for the Hill Hornet's Softball team during the Northwest Conference soft-ba- ll tournament, did an admirable job in carryng the pitching load. Major James Gerwick, flight commander is right proud of the team and the team coach, MSgt. William Fillebrew. Bowling Notes We bowled on the newly, ref in ished alleys at the Base Bowling Alley Wednesday night for the first time since the alley remodel ing. The alleys are still a little fast and the approaches slippery, but they'll be fine when they wear down. The promised snack bar is not yet ready, but MSgt. Leo Chavarie, bowling alley manager, says it will be finished shortly. conThis will be a venience. We commend all who are responsible for the fine job on the bowling alley. A welcome to a newly organized league on the base. After several years of trying, the NCO Club has established a league made up of NCO's and their wives. This addition rounds out a very fine league schedule at the alley this season. The Officer's League is short one team to make up the desired twelve teams.
