The road will be rerouted In sev eral places, to decrease length. This will be the first divisions of the road from Leamington to Nephi, and will shorten the route by several miles. Seven miles will be built In this end. and four miles or so on the Millard County end of the road. The road will be gravel surface, with a cost of three thousand dollars per mile to be spent. It is understood that the construction will be done by hand labor, and that the work will be done on a rotation basis, thereby giving considerable mbre men a chance to work on the Job. If this method Is used, it will distribute the money much more evenly throughout the district. It Is not definite as to whether the road work will be started at Main Street in Nephi, or at a point two and one half miles wvt on the county road (first nrth street). Should the west point be selected as the starting place, it would throw the beginning Just west of the Jesse Pay Farm. If the main street begin-- " ning is selected, the road will be 12 and one half miles long, instead of the ten. Industrial activity, in spite of the appearance of some downward tendencies, is continuing at a com' paratlvely high rate. In August, production was more than 50 per cent greater than in August, 1932. InJuly, production reached its peak, when it was equal to the 1923-2- 5 average. Price advances, which started with the first manifestations of recovery, continued through September. The cost of living has accordingly risen. An exception to the general trena, is farm prices, which have declined. One of the best in recent signs is the wide discrepancy between proiuction and consumption, wnich confused the outlook a shrt time ago, is narrowing.
