Home news holds first place in the com-- ! munity, and always will. That's why we wish to Impress on you the y of helping us gather the home news.. We want every personal item we can get; for every visit is of interest to someone besides the party making it. It takes but a second or two to Jot it down and hand it to us, to telephone it in or to hand It to someone from this offloe when you meet them on the street. It may appear to be a small item in your estimation and hardly worth a place in the paper. But it will interest some far away resident. Remember this, and don't forget that as you help your home paper, so it will help you by serving well the community in which you live. AND DAMN Here is the copy of a letter sent by a customer of the National Bank of San Francisco, California, to the Vice President Mr. Harry Coe, explaining the reason why he was unable to re The First National Bank duce his overdraft at the bank. There is so much truth in the letter that we think it will be of interest to Times-New- s readers. The letter follows. "Dear Sir: For the following reasons I regret being unable to reduce my overdraft. I have been held up, held down, sandbagged, walked on, sat upon, flattened out and squeezed by our income tax, the super tax, the excess profits tax, war loans, war bonds, war saving certificates, the automobile tax, and by every society and organization that the mind of man can invent to extract what I may or may not have in my possess ion." "The Government has governed my business so that I do not know who owns it. I am inspected, suspocted, examined and informed required and commanded, so that I dont know who I am, or why I am here, at all." "All that I know is that I am supposed to be an inexaustible supply of money for every known need, desire or hope of the human race, and be--' cause I will not sell all I have and go out and beg, borrow or steal money to give away, I am cussed, robbed and damn near ruined and the only reason I am clinging to life now is to see what will happen next." Mr. and Mrs. Burdette Sperry, came down from Salt Lake Tuesday for a few days" visit with relatives and friends here.
