Earl and Nola Greathouse went to Payson to see the dentist den-tist on a couple of occasions last week. Mr. and Mrs. Keith Nlelson's daughter, Sheila, had a car accident between Lynndyl and Delta a week ago Thursday. We're glad she didn't receive and serious Injuries. Shauna and Danny Memmott and daughter of Provo stayed a few days wlthShaun's parents Mr. and Mrs. Dean Eatough. Mr. and Mrs. Delbert Brad-field Brad-field of Elko, Ne v. was In Lynndyl Lynn-dyl visiting his brother Lawrence and In Leamington visiting -vith his mother, Margaret Mar-garet Bradfield. Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Bradfleld went to Salt Lake to keep doctor appointments on Nov. 3. Lawrence will havehis hand operated on and Laura will see Dr. Reed S. Cleg about hor hip. We hope everything goes okay for the both of them. Janet Nielson, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Phil Nielson was home a few days from Washington Wash-ington D.C. where she is teaching teach-ing school. A few days after her return to Washington her parents received a call from her to tell them she was made a Stake Missionary there. Kaye Nielson, Jim Nelson, Julie Nelson, Greg Greathouse, Phyllis Nielson, andGlenNiel-son andGlenNiel-son were all home this week end from college. Lynndyl's Post Mistress, Mlna Overson, and Leamington's Leaming-ton's Post Mistress CleeFin-linson, CleeFin-linson, stayed Wednesday, Thursday, 'and Friday of last week at the Holiday Inn in Provo attending the "Post Masters Seminar". Each day they went to four classes with instructers from such places as Maryland Denver and Washington. Mrs. Overson said the seminar was very interesting and educational. education-al. Greg Greathouse and afriend Mary Gardner of Spanish Fork came down and spent Sunday with Greg's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Earl Greathouse. Eleanor Neilson's sister, Emily and husband VlvanWade of Fillmore visited with Mr. and Mrs. Nielson last week. Mr. and Mrs. Dee Nielson and family of Salt Lake were down visiting with Dee's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Reed Nielson. They spent Sunday and part of Monday there. Mr. and Mrs. Reed Nielson, Mr. and Mrs. Clead Nielson and Alpha Nielson all went to the Evan Gardner funeral in Delta. Mr. and Mrs. Reed Nielson also went to the Erma Styler funeral in Oasis. Two weeks ago the last stall from the round house was hauled away. OnherwaybacktoOgden she stopped in at Margie Great-houses Great-houses for a while. Mr. and Mrs. Carl Benson went to Salt Lake to see Carl's brother, Owen Benson at the St. Mark's Hospital. Mr. Benson Ben-son is having work on his leg that he broke a few weeks ago. Mr. and Mrs. Russell Great-house Great-house went to Nephion business Monday. While thre they visited with Mr. and Mrs. Gerald Nielson and Eric and saw their beautiful new home. Mr. and Mrs. BenStephenson went to Nephi Sunday and presented pre-sented Mr. and Mrs. Gerald Nielson with the quilt the Lynndyl Lynn-dyl and Leamington people gave to them as a "going away present''. pre-sent''. Mr. and Mrs. Geral Nielson are very, appreciative for the lovely quilt the Lynndyl and Leamington people gave them. Ruth said It was the most beautiful quilt she'd seen and they both like to thank everyone very much and say they'll always al-ways treasure It. Lynndyl was a spooky place Saturday night. All the young kids were out "trick or treating". treat-ing". It's times like this that we appreciate living 'n a smaller small-er community and being aba to let our kids go around to every house without worrying about them like we. would if we lived in a large city. Butch and Judy Mills were down again last weekend helping help-ing Judy's parents put up wood-paneling wood-paneling in their living room. Pat and DeWayne Warnock were down from Salt Lake visiting vis-iting with Pat's parents Mr. and Mrs. Phil Nielson. LEAMINGTON NEWS Ida and Alida Ruth Overson attended the Wedding reception in Hinckley for Marcia Talbot and Gary Day, Friday. Sunday, Ida and Alida Ruth attended Church in Ftn. Green and visited sick relatives. Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Johnson, John-son, uncle and aunt, inquired about Vicki Johnson Dyches, a cousin, who is in the cotton-wood cotton-wood Hospital, seriously ill. Alida Ruth returned to college Sunday Evening. Tuesday, Ida's nephew, nine years old, Gary Anderson, son of Mr. and Mrs. Gloyd Anderson, Ander-son, Magna, will undergo surgery sur-gery at the St. Mark's Hospital for a bone disease. This will be three times he has had .surgery on his legs and has suffered three broken arms. Be mtsum cJj sp. 0RS ABRAHAM I've been deer hunting so have missed my news for two weeks. The first five days was simply beautiful in the mountains moun-tains and most of the party got their doer. The next five days were cold and snowy and although we have a nice little trailer I was glad to get home again. Tracy Fullmer got the biggest buck I have ever seen and Richard Fullmer shot the first bck in the party. He's been sick all summer so he Just parked on a hill and let them drive the deer his way. Our family goes together and has a sort of family reunion. Mr. Guy Sheriff of Nephi, 011ns father was with the group, also the Carl Corrys. As we de-toured de-toured to Wards home we saw at least 20 antelope eating and playing around in the fields In the riverbed about 3 inches of snow piled on us in the Keg Mountain so we came home. We attended the services for Mrs. Erma Styler In Oasis Thursday. The flowers were so beautiful and all the program outstanding. The very large crowd present showed the deep regard people had for Val and all the Styler family. Charles and Helen Marie Stoneking Thayer of Mldvale brought their horse Sheba and colt. The Thayer's ride in the Rodeo's in the summer. I'll always remember how Helen Marie loved to ride when she Helen and Chuck have two lovely children. We were happily surprised to have Mrs. Concha Adams and Mrs. Mabel Smith Kinney of Sutherland visit us Thursday. Mabel lived in Sutherland many years ago with her parents, the Denver Smith family, (Mrs. Helen Hersleff is her sister Helen Hersleff is her sister) and Mrs. Grace Fowles is her daughter. We are happy to have her move back to this area we did so much enjoy the visit. We also enjoyed a little visit with Morgan May, even if he was convasing for subscriptions. subscrip-tions. Our heart felt sympathy goes out to Verna and all the family of Norman Gardner whose funeral fun-eral was held Saturday. We were unable to attend but, was so sorry to hear of his passing away. We received a telephone call from Charlotta Hansen Stout AFTON FULLMER who has worked for the Salt Lake Tribune for about 20 years. She raised seven children chil-dren and most of them are in and around Salt Lake. Lottie Is 78 years old and in good health. Her husband Lew has been dead 10 years. This last summer she went to Europeand got some genealogy her people came from there and she and her sister, Mrs. Mary Alvery, who is deaf, are the last living of the family, who lived here in Abraham so many years ago. Lottie says her brother-in-law Walt Stout, after her sister Martha's death moved to Calif, and married again and raised a family o eleven children. Mrs. Faye Tennant flew to New York to see her first grandchild, the baby girl born to Bill and Joyce Rapp and named Beverly Jill. Faye says she liked New York but felt , Frank and Jill needed her so didn't stay long. Dick Fullmer had two teeth pulled Friday and will have just two extracted at a time so it will take him some time to get them out. We had a lot of Goblins and ' Ghosts visit us Halloween night so cute and good to have them trek or treat Instead of turning turn-ing things topsy turvey like they once did on that nite. Happy Birthday to Charlotte Corbett, Oct. 31(SweetSixteen) Charles and Heleli Marie Thayer brought their two little boys Kerry age four on Oct. 29 and Darry and let Walter and Lola care for them while they hunted deer. Great grandmother grand-mother Rose Webb came out to Lola's for dinner during the hunt. Congratulations to Walter and Lola on their 25th Wedding Anniversary October 29,1970. They drove up north and celebrated cele-brated by having a nice cafe dinner. Carl and Ferol Stone-king's Stone-king's baby was one year old Oct. 23, 1970. They live in Holladay and have three daughters. daugh-ters. We were happy to hear the Grant Humphries were moving to Oak City. Grant has just gotten out of the hospital and says his sister Louie Black, wife of Harold Black of Salt Lake is in the hospital and not at all good. Both Louie and Grant have been ill for a long time. We wish their health could Improve. Mercury -Found In Pheasants Tne Division of Fish and Game lias Inflated a research project through Utah State University in recent weeks to determine mercury levels in Utah pheasants, chukars, waterfowl, and doer. It is a preliminary study designed to pinpoint possible problem areas. Additional testing will be done as needed to fully evaluate the problsm. This project Is planned to run through Dec. 1971. Mr. and Mrs. Mel Terry made a trip Saturday to Ely, Nev. for a visit with Mr. and Mrs Paul Dean Terry. Word was received re-ceived that Paul had broken his leg. We hope he is better at this time. Mr. and Mrs. Glen Losee and family made a trip to Provo, Sunday. Charley Timm went to his home in Salt Lake City to attend the funeral services ser-vices of his wife's brother-in-law. While h3 was in to attend the service, his wife, Audrey Neves Timm passed away early Tuesday morning. Phyllis Sampson and Maxine Peterson of Salt Lake and Virginia Vir-ginia Downs of Lehi was out to Callao last week visiting with their mother Inez Tripp and sister Eudene Parker. The girls helped their mother paint her house. Leah Layland went to Delta Wednesday to keep a dental appointment. Mr. and Mrs. C. Lloyd was in Delta the first part of this week to attend to business. Mr. and Mrs. Richard Timm spent several days in Linden, they returned to their present home In Callao last Wednesday. Everyone has been very busy remodeling the church building in Callao. They really have it looking nice. Gayle Parker and son Justin spent the night camping out in the Basin In the high mountains above Callao. (Or nearly all night until it started to snow and a hard wind came up and blew the tent down. They returned home at 3:00 a.m. that morning. Mr. and Mrs. Gayle Parker spent several days up in the Basin getting their cattle ready to bring down to winter range. Mr. and Mrs. Cecil Bates' house, they recently bought from VelmaTimm burned down the last part of the deer hunt. Luckily, the big treesthat surround sur-round the house didn't catch on fire. Joe Bates and friends were staying in the house at the time. Stake Visitors will be out a week from Sunday. Everyone looks forward to the visit and pot luck dinner afterwards. Vivian Dearden is in the Holy Cross Hospital in Salt Lake where he may have to stay for several weeks, having suffered a sever heart attack. Mr. and Mrs. Lee Dearden and his wife Vera Dearden took him to the hospital. Mr., and Mrs. Will Hendrix 3 Ota Love her flameless electric dryer. Mr. and Mrs. Lee Boothe made a trip to Salt Lake Saturday Sat-urday and Sunday. Faye Clarkand Pattireturned Monday from a visit to Las Vegas, while the men were hunting deer. Sunday, Peggy Ann Shurtz was confirmed iy her father Cecil, Saturday she was baptized. Mr. and Mrs. Chuck Green and family returned Sunday from a visit to Twin Falls, Idaho, Bear River City and a check up in Brlgham City for Chuck. of Ely, Nev., was out visiting with Mr. and Mrs. Cecil Row- i ley. Barbara Rowley and children spent a couple of days In Callao. The Garrison PTA sponsored a Turkey dinner at the Garrison Elementry School Friday evening eve-ning to raise funds to buy the school children roller skates. The older children put on a Halloween program. They really had a good turn out. It was estimated 150 people came. Mr. Ure of Creg, Colo, has been in Baker visiting with his daughter, Barbara Gregson. Mr. and Mrs. Eugene Tlmm ' spent a week in Linden where they have a home, and the Salt Lake area to visit with family and friends, and to attend the funeral services of Audrey Tlmm. Their daughter Doris Halvorsen flew upfrom Eureka Calif, to spend several days with her family and to attend the funeral services. Wilbur n Gold is back in the valley with his oil well crew to finish drilling for oil. Madelynn Hesselgesser and Barbra Rowley made a trip to Delta Monday. Pauline Aquiso and Barara Gregson made a trip to Ely this week. The Y Motor Lodge had a Halloween Costume Party. They had live music from Ely for the dance. Prizes were given away for the best costume cos-tume THANK YOU CARD Words are inadequate to express ex-press thanks to all of our many friends, who helped us in any way during the passing of our Beloved husband and father, Norman Gardner. We thank those who wereonthe program, the food that was sent to us at home, the Relief Society who served lunch at the Church and the floral tributes that were given. Thanks to the Fashion Rite for their kind services to us. All these Kindnesses made our sorrow much easier to bear.
