Also there were the newly-weds, Marcia and Gary Day who were honeymooning honey-mooning up there. Russell and friend. Also they were there to see Sherlene and Hal's baby boy blessed. He was given the name of Galen. Mrs. Gertha Bishop returned home last Friday from a two week visit to see her daughter, Mrs. 'Blaine T. (Lori) Nelson and family at Great Falls, Montana. Mon-tana. She went by plane. When she got back to Salt Lake, another daughter, Mrs. Leola Wolters brought her home. Word from my sister, Betty Mayer at Fremont, Calif, ill with hepatitis for the past few weeks, is that she has begun some improvement, which we were so happy to hear. To the families of Erma Sty-ler Sty-ler and Norman Gardner, our sympathy is sent to them, at their passing. The Verdell Bishop family and John's friend, Max Wood went up to Provo this weekend. They took Patrice back to school and also attended the BYU Wyoming game. Two babies of families in town have been in the West Millard Hospital with the croup Jeremy Ellis, little son of the Jerry Ellis' and JohnDutson, baby of the Carl Dutsons'. We hope they are all better soon. The news I like to report most of all is baby news so with pleasure I write of a new baby girlborntoformerHinck-ley girlborntoformerHinck-ley people Phil and Marilyn Allred Bennett of West Jordan on Oct. 23, in the LDS Hospital at Salt Lake. She is the fourth child for them. They now have two boys and two girls. Grandparents Grand-parents are Mr. and Mrs. Vaun Bennett, also formerly of here and Mr. and Mrs. Douglas Allred of Calif. She is the 16th grandchild for them, who are also former Hinckley residents. resi-dents. The baby weighed 81bs. 3oz. Bishop Leonard Palmer is feeling much better this week after having been 111 for the past two or three weeks. Max and Betty Herron spent several days in Salt Lake where they attended the funeral of a cousin. On Tuesday, Nov. 10, 1970, the Relief Society meetings will consist of a lovely Fashion Show. Also, Mrs. Karolyn War-nick War-nick will show Christmas decorations. Women of the ward are asked to bring some of their own ideas. Mrs. Sarah Jo Lowder will give the lesson. Mrs. Mark Herron Is In Calif, visiting with her daughter and family, Sandra and Wayne Virgin Vir-gin and children. Mrs. Dorothy Damron went to Ogden for a couple of days last week to be with her daughter daugh-ter Linda Jo Nielson who had surgery in the hospital. Linda Jo and baby Butch returned with Dorothy to Hinckley for a couple of days. They attended the Ward party Thursday evening. eve-ning. Our building on our Church is progressing on schedule and should be completed in the early part of 1971. This should be a great improvement for our Ward and everyone should be proud of their contribution. We still have quite a lot of money to raise however. We have accepted ac-cepted the landscaping contract which will provide us with an opportunity to earn some credit with labor. The balance of our money to be raised must be done in the next two months. Hinckley Ward Bishopric. Mrs. Dorothy Theobold Is recuperating re-cuperating from recent major surgery at the Holy Cross Hospital Hos-pital In Salt Lake. At the present time she isconvolesc-ing isconvolesc-ing at their home in Orem. Her sister, Jonelle Nielson is staying with her. Carl and La-Verne La-Verne went on to Midvale to attend a Veteran's meeting (WWI Veterans) on Saturday. Sunday they were In Payson and a went to Church there with Joyce and Marion Manwell who had their baby daughter blessed. She was given the name of Becky Jo Brent Petersen, sonof the waro. .mersens, recently par ticipated in Salt Lake at the recent UEA meetings by sing ing in the All-State Chorus. Jodl Lovell and baby visited here recently with her folks, the Ward Petersons while Sylvan Syl-van was out on the deer hunt. Also visiting at the Petersons has been their son, David, and his wife Patti, who have been living In Hamilton, Montana. Pattl visited with her mother Mrs. Bernlce Sanderson also. They left last Thursday for Yerlngton, Nev. where David Is employed. Mr. and Mrs. Jerry Ellis took their little boy Scott to Salt Lake on Saturdayfor medical med-ical attention. Deb and Pete Carter and son Blaine were here last week from Salt Lake at the Kennard Carter's and the Faun Westerns. Visiting at the Jerry Ellis's this week was Kenna's parents Mr. and Mrs. Ken Marriott of Salt Lake and their daughters, Lisa, Lana and Carla. Arthur Reeve is home from Salt Lake this week. The Relief Society will hold . its annual Bazaar on Friday, Nov. 13, 1970. This Is always an enjoyable meeting for every one, a good place to Christmas shop, and you are supporting the Relief Society. All types of articles will be on sale. Don and Jean Smith were In Brigham City visiting Don's parents and brother Dallas, who has just returned from Vietnam, v The big ward party on Thursday Thurs-day evening, Oct. 29, was held at the Elementary School. A delicious supper was served, after which there were many booths of different kinds with articles for sale, a bake sale it was a very successful event to further our ward bulldlngfun and everyone who was there reported an outstanding party. Featured were many novelty items and other things for sale. Sharon and Bruce James and kiddies came down on Saturday Satur-day to visit and for the chil- dren to have some Halloween fun with their cousin Shawn. The Kerr boys Alden and Duane and a Leyland boy have spent the weekend at the Wayne Gonder's wrangling cattle. Mrs. Chub Richardson was hostess to a tupperware party In Ely, Nev. Elbert Osborne returned to his home on Monday afternoon after spending ten days in Squaw Valley attending church meetings. Mrs. Gregg Johnson and daughter, Tammy, of Odgen brought her mother Mrs. Elbert El-bert Osborne home after she had been visiting with them in Ogden. Mt. Wheeler 4-H achievement night was held In Ely, Nev. in October. Senior girl's Horsemanship Horse-manship trophy and high point senior girl was Caralee Dearden. Dear-den. Caralee also received fat lamb showmanship trophy and a $25.00 Bond. Kevin Gonder and Caralee Dearden also received re-ceived special ' sheep award pins. Carolyn Wheeler and Caralee Dearden sang "Dream Dream" on the program that was presented. Vivian Dearden suffered a heart attack Tuesday morning. He was taken to the Holy Cross Hospital by Mr. and Mrs. Lee Dearden. He L In Intensive care at this writing. His wife Vera, Is staying close by. We all wish him a speedy recovery. The Relief Society Leadership Leader-ship meeting regularly scheduled sched-uled for the last Thrusday of each month at the Nev.
