MOUNTAIN FLOWERS A new publication, describing and illustrating 90 representative plants that grow wild in this area, has been printed by the Extension Services, Utah State University, ac cording to Mar Genne B. Rowley USU Home Extension Agent in West Millard County. Authors of the booklet are Ber- niece A. Anderson, assistant to the curator, and Dr. Arthur H. Holm- green, professor of botany, USU. "The publication will assist the novice in discovering our mountains and some of the native and natu ralized ,. plants ihat grow . there," Mrs. Anderson. said. ... .. . .-. To facilitate plant identification the authors . have described the groups into which plants fall by similarity and have identified some of the indivduals that make up the groups. Each plant description is illustrated with a drawing that is about one-third the actual size of the flower. Plants are also listed by habitat and color. Copies of the new publication, EC 355, "A Beginner's Guide to Mountain Flowers," may be obtained, obtain-ed, for 50 cents each, from the Bulletin Room, Utah State University, Univer-sity, Logan, Utah 84321, MarGenne said.
